Russian policeman stops suspicious man trying to come into the US embassy in Moscow in the middle night. Despite the summer time the man was wearing winter jacket and warm cap, he suddenly jumped out of the taxi car and rushed to the embassy door. Policeman, who guarded the embassy, immediately ran across to stop him. As it has become clear later, the man who tried to enter the embassy was the CIA agent and the embassy employee. He put on the cap and jacket to keep incognito. Unfortunately, he used the very same method as terrorists-suicide like to use. Anyway, being downed to the floor, he managed to creep into the US territory where the policeman couldn't follow him. Happily for the American, this misunderstanding happened in Russia. In the United States he probably would be immediately shot, as the US police likes to use guns. Like here, for example:
Didn't Washington's propaganda machines twist the incident by making it a harassment attack on an employer of the embassy?
Any source for the CIA story? The Youtube video redirects to https://vk.com/video-69433306_456239070 which seems to be a social network site much like Facebook. It prompts you to sign up when watching the video. Besides... The first video look like the police attacking the guy... Not the other way around.
From what I read the man didn't show any identification, so he was tackled by the police as you can see. If you look close you will notice him hitting back at the embassy guard. He is an employer at the embassy and did have identification so why didn't he show it ...and why was he dressed up like a terrorist? Was it for propaganda purposes... He is a known member of the CIA, so one has to wonder...
that police man is guarding the embassy which seemed to be attacked by an unidentified person, are you blind?
I don't see anything identifying it's an embassy. I don't see anyone attacking anything. I see a guy get out of a taxi and a cop jump him. From images I can find of the embassy it doesn't look like the American embassy in Moscow. Can you provide a source since the OP hasn't?
Embassy Guard ? Embassy Guards are usually Marines, US Marines that is. The so called policeman you talk about was obviously FSU there to spy on the embassy not guard it. The man was attacked so he was defending himself from the barbaric Russia aggression of the FSU agent. What do you mean "employer" at the embassy ? The employer at the embassy would be the US State Department not a person. What do you mean "dressed up like a terrorist" ? Are you saying that he was dressed up like a member the Russian government which would be a terrorist organization ? "known member of the CIA". So if he as known why did your FSU tackle him, why not just greet the "CIA" agent "good evening Tavarish Amerikanski spy, how are you tonight?". "May I help you open the gate to your fine embassy?". Don't they teach manners and civility in KGB school anymore ? Man what is this world coming to !!
Hate to break your bubble but here is a spin from your beloved Washington Post. By Josh Rogin June 29 In the early morning of June 6, a uniformed Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) guard stationed outside the U.S. Embassy in Moscow attacked and beat up a U.S. diplomat who was trying to enter the compound, according to four U.S. officials who were briefed on the incident. This previously unreported attack occurred just steps from the entrance to the U.S. Embassy complex, which is located in the Presnensky District in Moscows city center. After being tackled by the FSB guard, the diplomat suffered a broken shoulder, among other injuries. He was eventually able to enter the embassy and was then flown out of Russia to receive urgent medical attention, administration officials confirmed to me. He remains outside of Russia. The attack caused a diplomatic episode behind the scenes that has not surfaced until now. The State Department in Washington called in Russian Ambassador Sergey I. Kislyak to complain about the incident, an administration official said. The motive for the attack remains unclear. One U.S. official told me that the diplomat was seeking refuge in the embassy complex to avoid being detained by the Russian intelligence services. A different U.S. official told me the diplomat may have been working as a spy in Russia under whats known as diplomatic cover, which means he was pretending to be a State Department employee. Spokesmen for the both the State Department and the CIA declined to comment on the incident or whether or not the diplomat was in fact an undercover U.S. spy.
A little logic here; considering the possibility that the man might have been a terrorist, the guard reacted in a way that would have prevented him from detonating himself.
My bubble? Are you out of your mind? People who live in bubbles don't ask for sources. And next time you quote half an article please provide the freaking link. https://www.washingtonpost.com/opin...42c98c-3d7f-11e6-a66f-aa6c1883b6b1_story.html So you copy pasted an opinion piece about something that happened 3 years ago? The OP posted a video today about this? This story is making less and less sense. You guys getting the correct instructions from Central Operations? You might want to contact them.
Actually, the video is taken from TV news programm. But also this story was published in some newspapers. Izvestia - one of the main Russian newspapers: http://izvestia.ru/news/621290 The scandalous situation appeared when the US embassy representative said that the policeman attacked the US diplomat. He said that the "diplomat" called himself when coming into the US embassy and showed the ID or pass. The video proves he didn't. Maybe the American was drunk and he forgot to introduce himself. If you fight a policeman it's called attack usually.
CNN lies and misleads the public, as usually. It was ordinary policeman, not some misterious "FSB guard". Just a policeman on a post.
I didn't see a fight. I see a guy being assaulted. Nothing in the link you provide makes this more credible. In fact it only makes it less... At least if Google translate is doing it job.
Something doesn't make sense to me with this video. How did the door open towards the people involved in the incident? The person in prone position would have serious difficulty trying to open the door while keeping himself protected from an incapacitating maneuver from the guard, and I don't see why the guard would open the door knowing he was in an advantageous position, especially if he got the suspected attacker prone AND cornered. I'm ok with the aggressive behavior from the guard if he legitimately thought the suspicious person could be concealing an explosive device, however if this is a concern for the US embassy at that location, why the hell is the entrance to this building right against a road that a taxi would have access to? Are all foreign embassy's devoid of buffer zones which would allow adequate time to analyze security threats?
The official word from Russia is that the man attacked the guard, which the video clearly shows is a lie. Also, the man was already on Embassy grounds.
I don't know about Moscow. When I worked at Danish Embassy in Rome the American Embassy had American guards. And in no way would anyone get near the entrance like that. I would advise against running in Embassy areas. The video shows a random guy arrive at a random building. He gets out of a taxi and is assaulted by what looks like a guard. That's it.
There's clearly a guard booth and a man jumping out of a taxi moving to enter the building while wearing heavy clothing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zzx1nL4NXyI The Russian cop was doing his job.
Are you telling me that you can take a taxi to the entrance of the embassy? Have you checked the entrance to the embassy on street view?
Depends on the situation. It may be that the only way Russia would allow an American embassy in their territory is if they contracted the FSB for security.
