Oh there’s no debate that Hillary was a flawed candidate, it should’ve been known after the 08 campaign. My question is how can you be certain that some of her negatives not sort of taint other democrats as well? Especially given that the origins of the investigation to Trump may lead back to her at least from a political sense depending of potentially the upcoming IG report.

    Well crafted post....

    :applause:

Although I genuinely feel most of it is small potatoes, Biden has some political baggage he brings to the table (Touchy-feely, Anita Hill, Tendency to say some dumb stuff), but regardless of him saying there wasn't a whiff of a scandal in the Obama administration, Biden himself got through 8 years with nothing major stuck to him.

How do you feel Biden will roll with Independents?

People don't understand that the president has very little control over the economy. Presidents do not control economies. Our economy has been in a steadily upward spike since the US began to recover in 2009.

One of the great enduring stupidities of the presidential cult is the belief, rooted in invincible ignorance, that the state of the U.S. economy at any given moment is a reflection of the intelligence and wisdom of the chief executive of the federal government and a result of the excellence of his administration. I worked hard during the Clinton years and was squirreling away money in IRA accounts and I could have said “Sure, Bill Clinton may be an intern-diddling hillbilly and maybe even a violent rapist, but, man, my IRA is kicking ass!” It’s dumb, logic, but it rules politics.

It's great that the economy is robust and growing and I couldn't be more happy for the people in this country that may be enjoying some job security and a growing IRA account. Trump is able to take the bows, applause and compliments for it, but it's just not based in fact. He will insist that it is the result of his policies. Which of those policies, I wonder? He got his tax cut, but Trump has done almost nothing of substance on the economy, and what his administration has done, which was a bit of excellent regulatory reform, is unlikely to affect growth dramatically in the short term.

A president is only one small piece of the public policy picture and public policy as a whole is only a small part of what shapes and moves a complex modern economy.

Biden got away without anything major stuck to him ONLY BECAUSE for most of those eight years he wasn't allowed to open his mouth; because whenever he did slip the media blackout muzzle he said something utterly stupid that the media immediately had to explain to the nation actually meant something entirely different than from what Biden actually said. This is going to be a fun run watching the leftists loyal MSM attempt to do that again nearly every time Biden goes off his bullet points prepared stump speach . . . and it IS going to happen for time after time.

Well, as long as Biden doesn't mention shooting anybody in the middle of 5th avenue, he should be OK....

You mean be angry because Trump has placed more sanctions against Russia than 'on his knees for Putin' Barack Obama ever did? But then again that WAS what Barack meant when his hot-mic episode revealed his intention to be more flexible regarding Russia after his re-election.

Which is still more than Trump did by a mile. And Trump is the one that says hes a tough guy. Why do you ignore the fact that Obama was stifled by Paul Ryan and Lindsey Graham when he tried to make a bigger deal out of it.also you forget to mention the sanctions Obama put in place over it. Why do you minimize the efforts of the Obama administration? I know exactly why.....lol

Trump has done no such thing. He didn't even have the courage to tell Putin to knock his **** off when he had the perfect opportunity. Trump is a complete coward. If he had a D after his name you'd be calling for blood.

Totally agree... if Obama saying he'll be flexible angers the wingnuts, presenting no discernible solid shape at all to Putin should really draw all Americans together....

Being flexible after the election implies that you were somewhat inflexible before the election... which sounds better than being Play Doh 24x7x365..

I wonder if hand job gets a ding these days? I got dinged for a different euphemism the other day (don't ask)...

Even the Mainstream Media -- which blatantly works for the DNC -- has reluctantly admitted that Trump has placed more sanctions on Russia than Barack Obama ever did.

The double standard that is employed by our conservative friends is simply amazing and is a direct contradiction to the whole equal protection under the law principles they claim to love so much.

I don't buy one word of that post.
If you gotta start out with a statement that is totally conspiracy theories crap then the rest of the post isn't worth reading. Your views of what's acceptable now when compared to what they were when Obama was President are completely incongruent. Why is that?
It seems like the cons don't really have principles?

    Very true, and spot on.

But, we must have empathy toward Our RW Brethren.

    It it wasn't for:

Conspiracy theories and "Trump Good/MSN Bad", 99% of what passes for "RW Content" would disappear.

And, at a site (Like PF) that (undeniably) skews 80+% Pro-Trump RW, that would be noticeable.

As far as the CNN Poll, if it was anybody else but Trump (a thoroughly unqualified stooge, as well as a misogynist racebaiter) his chances in 2020 would be very good.

It has been so apparent that you cannot see it because you agree with every fake news story they pump out.

    That reminds me.

If it weren't for ad hominem attacks and other fallacies you'd have no arguments at all.

So in other words you, you do believe obama telling Putin to "knock it off" was a macho move. Putin just rolled his eyes and laughed.
Before you attack Trump remember the election tampering was on obamas watch

Normally I take a pass on pointing out the obvious to the uninformed but if you insist, tax cuts, deregulation and trade deals all have spawned the 3.2% growth as promised.

It demonstrates the superiority of free market capitalism and Supply Side Economics over socialism and Keynesian economics.
