Except you're praising false points regarding this story.. https://mobile.twitter.com/MnDPS_MSP/status/1266338580596690949 In the course of clearing the streets and restoring order at Lake Street and Snelling Avenue, four people were arrested by State Patrol troopers, including three members of a CNN crew. The three were released once they were confirmed to be members of the media. So it had nothing to do with where they were, it was a matter of who they were. You just praised reason that even the police themselves didn't give.
Good points. Being CNN and all, I assume they were behaving completely unscrupulously, but even vampires don't suck EVERYBODY's blood.
Super-white Mike Wallace, Amy Goodman and Julian Assange - among many other reporters who have been arrested - were arrested for who they were? Well, maybe not Wallace, but probably Goodman, and definitely Assange.
The other user was wrong, you praised him, that makes you wrong too. You can tap toe around it all you want.
Oh noes! Reporters: Arrested all the time Trying to turn this arrest into more grievance baiting: Ridiculous partisan nonsense
Much of my time is spent in a suburb of Minneapolis and I work with the police departments just adjacent to the city proper. The Minneapolis police chief publically begged for 400 additional police officers last year, he got 14 and they were not on street cops. The 39 year old mayor is a "progressive" from the state of Virginia who came to the city and was elected because of his good looks and slick talk. After dark the downtown area is full of youth that harass people, the police have obviously been told to turn the other way as arrests are nil. The on-street parking has been all but eliminated to force people to use the city's light rail system which is more dangerous than the downtown area at midnight. I could spend a long time going into detail but based on the LE that I work with, Minneapolis has a serious lack of spine in the mayor's office. As for the CNN reporter getting arrested, I suspect it made their day as now they will have 100 viewers on their nightly anti-Trump tirades.
The Twin Cities were SO beautiful. But yet another criminal carpetbagging Democrat came in and helped destroy that...
The police admitted themselves that there would have been no arrest had they known they were reporters which they knew who it was. It had nothing to do with where they were. The user said the reporter refused to move and that was why he was arrested. That is not what the police said. He was so hellbent on defending the police until he felt the need to make a reason up that even the police didn't give. You praised him. Embarrassed much? I notice the user hasn't been back.
Here's another reporter arrested; not sure of his ethnicity: https://thecrimereport.org/2020/04/23/arrested-illinois-reporter-loses-first-amendment-case/ Happens. All. The. Time.
Nah. It's in a rather small area on the SE side of town. If you bring up Google maps the area is Hwy 55 (Hiawatha) & East Lake Ave. The gutted police station is on Lake Ave across the street from the looted target store. The fake media is just trying to make this ginned up riot more than it is while trying to inflame others to do the same. The fake msm seem to be taking the roll of cheerleaders.
Absolutely atrocious. Whoever is in command of these State Troopers should immediately and publically discharged from duty. You don't arrest the press. Unbelievably.
Wow. Here's another reporter who was arrested: https://www.ftvlive.com/sqsp-test/2020/1/25/texas-anchor-arrested When do we riot?
So, the Governor was there when this reporter, cameraman was arrested? Why was the producer there while the reporter was arrested? Why was this reporter giving a live broadcast where, and while these State Police was making arrests? If the State Police had cleared the area, then how could they be there to make arrests? It seems obvious to me that the reporter was in the area that they were told not to be, and were arrested, Maybe the reporter, Cameraman and Producer was there for the purpose of getting arrested. I am not saying that they should have been reporting, but I do find thank episode would have not happened if the Reporter, Cameraman and Producer. The fact that the Producer was onsite of this reporter was arrested lends credence to the fact that this was an intentionally staged event. Maybe if this Reporter, Cameraman and Producer had been reporting where the second reporter was told he could be there, they would not have been arrested. It seems clear that the second reporter was in an area where he could observe the protests, but not in an area where he was not supposed to be. Again, this looks like a staged event.
Dude. They arrested and then quickly released a REPORTER. And he's like black or Latin or something. Needz moar rioting!!!!
It is not just this blockhead mayor, the city has been plagued by democrat do-gooders for decades. Remember this is the city that sent Omar to congress. Nice people live in the city but they are totally blinded by the fact their politics are turning their once clean city into another Portland or Seattle.
That isn't the ONLY area that was burned. In St.Paul, several miles away, there were looting and fires. Another "talking point" completely debunked.
You must have been REALLY upset when Amy Goodman was arrested and held. In Minneapolis no less. DISGUSTING!!!!
