Congress will see Barr's redacted version of the Mueller Report

This guy named Mueller sent a report to the justice dept and the AG issued a public report that said there was no collusion. How could you have missed that?

I read the report. It said nothing about “no collusion.”

A good part of this post is quite logical with the exception of your last statement. Allow me this caveat to your post.

"When Hillary lost they opened it up wide because an indication that Trump's win was fixed or faulty was greatly needed by Americans, not Democrats." If there was something funny about the Presidential election, that is something American voters needed to know.

You are dead wrong. When Comey reopened the Clinton investigation eleven days before the election, that was a dagger in the heart of the Clinton campaign. Prior to Comey doing that, polls showed Clinton winning by six to ten points. Even Trump thought he would lose. In the week leading up to election day, the polls changed dramatically, ending up with Clinton having a two to three point advantage, which is what she won the popular vote by.

 

The Congress has not received the report. They will decide whether or not to take action against Trump.

 

By who? Trump's appointee, William Barr? Trump's lawyers? Same thing. You are joking, of course.

DOJ is going to release the Mueller Report Thursday morning, and we pretty much know Trump and his lawyers have seen it. Trump is not happy.

Wow, just learned in the Failing New York Times that the corrupt former leaders of the FBI, almost all fired or forced to leave the agency for some very bad reasons, opened up an investigation on me, for no reason & with no proof, after I fired Lyin’ James Comey, a total sleaze!

 

Either that or they can’t read. Where does it say, no collusion ?

 

Barr is suggesting the possibility that an investigation of the Trump campaign by the Obama administration was done to harm the Trump campaign.

Seems logical, only voters never learned that the Trump campaign was being investigated until after the election. But they sure knew about the FBI investigation of Clinton.

If Trump was to be harmed, why keep the investigation a secret? That makes no sense.

The FBI had a legal reason to investigate the Trump campaign. Some are suggesting the FBI's investigation was illegal. That is absurd. Their surveillance was handled with warrants. That makes it legal. So does this.

About a month before the U.S. election, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence and the Department of Homeland Security issued this statement.

“The U.S. Intelligence Community (USIC) is confident that the Russian Government directed the recent compromises of emails from US persons and institutions, including from US political organizations. The recent disclosures of alleged hacked e-mails on sites like DCLeaks.com and WikiLeaks and by the Guccifer 2.0 online persona are consistent with the methods and motivations of Russian-directed efforts. These thefts and disclosures are intended to interfere with the US election process.”

That makes it legal. So, why keep it a secret if the intent was to harm Trump? Barr's "spying" scenario is pure nonsense.

You don't think that Comey exonerating Clinton of 2-3 years of publicized criminal activity did not help her campaign??? Amazing!

Which was what the beef was about all along. Supposedly in a plot, Trump cooked up a deal with Russia to cause him to win. But the main problem is we do not know how, when it was done nor have those charged been put on trial.

 

So just because Trump appointed him, he csbt be believed.

This means that no political appointee can be believed or just Trump?

 

Unfortunately congressional action is all political, not legal. Therefore any action they take is just politics being played out.

The FBI investigates. Comey recommendations are only Recommendations. You had six years of Hillary investigations by congress.

Yes, Trump's appointee who thinks the Mueller Report was "fatally misconceived," according to a memo he wrote in 2018, who thinks the President is omnipotent, did say there was no collusion.

Problem is because of Barr's prejudices, many don't believe him. Explain this.

We know five close associates to Trump are now convicted felons, and each had a connection to the Russian government. These close associates included a campaign manager, deputy campaign manager, a national security advisor, and Trump's personal lawyer. We know Trump's son, son-in-law, and campaign manager met with Russian operatives at Trump's home, Trump Tower. We know from Trump's lawyer that during the entire 2016 Presidential campaign Trump was negotiating with the Russian government for a Trump Tower in Moscow. That is simply a tiny tip of the iceberg as far as the evidence is concerned.

We can gather from that evidence that Trump definitely had a relationship with the Russian government, and his foreign policy indicates that as well. Did you know Trump still hasn't admitted that Russia interfered in our 2016 Presidential election?

 

There's no need to, as “[T]he investigation did not establish that members of the Trump Campaign conspired or coordinated with the Russian government in its election interference activities.”

 

Speaking of 2020, it may be enough to create a crippled candidate in 2020. Since the likelihood of a Senate filled with Trump Republicans will convict Trump is unlikely, this is, perhaps, all the Democrats want, tarnish the Trump Presidency. Make him look guilty to voters. Pelosi has discouraged talk of impeachment.

I see no sign of Trump Republicans backing down from their support of Trump, a phenomenon I clearly do not understand. So, the Democratic plan to disassemble the Trump administration based on the Mueller Report may work in 2020.

Can you imagine another four years of Trump? The country would not survive.

 

I could swear I've said it before, but I understand why you don't listen, but, as far as I know, Barr did not say the Mueller Report is fatally misconceived; he did say the investigation was fatally misconceived. There are millions who believe the latter, and it has zero to do with the former.

Seems you still blindly assume that having a relationship with the Russian government or Russians in general is somehow untoward, let alone criminal. Do you know how many Americans have relationships with Russians or their government? Wanna start with Obama? Then move on to Hillary who had Russian relationships out the ying yang as head of state and as a candidate for the presidency? Then there are millions in the line.
