For you. But the rest of us want to know more because we are not interested in condemning someone over 5 seconds of video on a reel.
Actually it would have ended just as I said. Cops are not gods, they bleed just like everyone else. They are trained to enforce their will, and hide behind body armor and a government badge, and to call their friends when they get scared. You think nobody else knows how to fight? You think nobody else carries firearms? You think nobody else has friends? A cop abusing someone is no different then a regular citizen abusing another citizen. Do that to a little woman in my presence you will be eating through a straw, if you don't "resist" "resist" and you might not make it home at all. There is little I despise more then a government official on a power trip, I will set them straight real fast, bureaucrat or gestapo alike.
I wondered the same thing. If they're tough enough to be rangers, and cops, and MMA fighters....shouldn't the story just rest on Cop body slams a Person? Why do we need to care about the gender? Equality +1 ?
I've seen female Marines get hurt in training after we spent the day throwing 200lb guys around so I've got some experience with it.
I don't understand how men on this forum are ok with a cop handling a woman in that manner, but its par for the course because the same so-called men defended a resource officer slamming a 100lb, 15yr old into the concrete face first.
Things like this are why I hate "judgment by video", especially a 15 sec vid like this that basically determines guilt via shock value. I mean, of course it looks like the cop went WAY overboard, but I guarantee there's far more about this incident we're not seeing than are. But whatever, by the time we get more info on this no one except the cop & few others will care.
They're saying she got taken down because of what she was doing. I don't know if that's true or not. Regardless, like I said, he probably just overestimated the force needed. I've seen it happen. Once she was down it's not like he was stomping her head into the concrete and punching her in the face. If women are truly equal though, body slamming a woman and body slamming a 100lb guy should garner the same reaction. If women and men were truly equal, her sex wouldn't matter.
Cry me a river ladies and save the totalitarianism for your tea parties. If you don't think a cop will smack you in the head for acting a fool, try it yourself and see what happens. That truth has nothing to do with my personal feelings about freedom or the rule of law. It is reality, YouTube is full of jackasses who challenged this reality, of course the graveyard is too.
You are welcome to expound on the joys of a totalitarian police state if you like. It is still a moderately free country (for the moment). I just do not share this opinion. Obviously one is smart to kneel before a stormtrooper - if one does not want to be shot in the head. This however, in no way justifies the stormtrooper actions. You seem to want to conflate these two ideas. This is logical fallacy.
And you can't seem to comprehend what I'm saying so I will use small words. If you **** with the police, they **** with you. It doesn't make it right but that's reality. Cops will shoot 12 year old kid for playing with BB guns in less than 2 seconds of arriving on the scene. Doesn't make it right, but that's reality.
You just repeated what I said in my post ... Mr. Reading Comprehension impaired. Then you turn around and claim that I did not understand you ? Seriously .... get with the program.
Obviously, it is always smarter to cooperate with a law enforcement officer than to resist. However many times arrests are made as a result of the suspect being intoxicated and otherwise very agitated. People in that state are not in their right mind. The policeman, being the "good guy" should try to diffuse the situation using no force or violence or at least the least amount violence or force necessesary. Most cops I have seen usually handle the situation professionally. A few, like the one pictured in the video over react and end up hurting the suspect needlessly. It is not the job of a policeman to administer punishment.
Well after you slam a 100lb woman in the ground face first do you really need to stomp on her. It amazes me how you guys make excuses for these officers behavior.
De-escalation training has been superseded with submit or die training. Submit it is but you make such a good point.
I quit reading here. Anyone willing to make any kind of judgement without knowing the full story is using emotion only, no intelligence involved. To me, that is the absolute worst kind of person there is.
