Our medical experts were not that concerned thinking (because of the dishonest by omission Chinese data) that the effects on the US would be minuscule as of 2/17. In the 2 - 3 weeks after that after it became clear that Corona is very contagious. Had the Chinese been honest and complete on their data disclosure and indeed acted immediately on the warnings given by their Doctor citizen Li Wenliang in December of 2019 95% of the global fatalities would have been prevented according to a study from the University of South Hampton in the U.K.

Well, in a previous post, I stated British Columbia's Center for Disease Control was fully prepared "early January", and here's why

And the left blames Trump the Idiot for somehow not seeing through all this.
They also blame him for not acting like the dictator they like to accuse him of being.
Their hatred and prejudice overwhelms their ability to think critically and honestly.

Yes. They are against anything Trump does or advocates. There are now at least very seriously sick patients close to death that hydroxychloroquine has saved. And the propaganda machine of the Democratic Party continues to claim that Trump is killing people by advocating the off label prescription use of the drug.

Sadly our people did. I have respect for Dr. Fauchi but he stated many times that he trusted his Chinese colleagues.

    Well, we can finally put things together;

    Hong Kong
    Taiwan
    South Korea
British Columbia.....predominantly Asians, and their CDC disease prevention team leader/expert is Chinese

Thus, a whole lot of mistrust towards Red China.

Our medical experts have been incredibly inept from the start.

"For much of February, the CDC kept a tight grip on who should be tested for the coronavirus, a strategy that has been criticized by epidemiologists for limiting the ability to track the spread of the disease.

In a Feb. 19 presentation to state health officials, the CDC described the definition of a person who ought to be tested: You had to have had close contact with someone confirmed to have COVID-19, or to have traveled from China and then had respiratory symptoms and a fever at the same time.

However, the CDC’s own guidance from a month prior, distributed to the states on Jan. 17, had a footnote that said that “fever may not be present in some patients,” such as people who had taken fever-lowering medications, according to one of the documents obtained by ProPublica. That caveat was not on the slides presented to the states in mid-February."
PROPUBLICA, "SERIES: CORONAVIRUS, Internal Emails Show How Chaos at the CDC Slowed the Early Response to Coronavirus, The CDC fumbled its communication with public health officials and underestimated the threat of the coronavirus even as it gained a foothold in the United States, according to hundreds of pages of documents ProPublica obtained., By Caroline Chen, Marshall Allen and Lexi Churchill March 26, 2020.

I’ve thought all along that those countries would have a lot of eyes on the ground in Red China which allowed them to understand what was really going on. And possibly the Canadian doctor had some communication with the as well.

The WHO is complicit with the Red Chinese cover up as well. One one of the Fox Nees shows a person was interviewing a coincidently Canadian WHO official. He was asked a question about helping Taiwan. The guy didn’t respond claiming noise. The interviewer said that she would repeat but the WHO official stopped her and said to go on to the next question. Red China does not acknowledge the existence of Taiwan. Additionally of course the WHO ignored the Taiwan warnings in December.

Partisan factional politics tends to blind activists to any concern for fairness - especially in an election year.

Yes, but even though the cover-up has been exposed there is not much pressure to punish those involved in the deadly deception.

"Axios has compiled a timeline of the earliest weeks of the coronavirus outbreak in China, highlighting when the cover-up started and ended — and showing how, during that time, the virus already started spreading around the world, including to the United States.

Why it matters: A study published in March indicated that if Chinese authorities had acted three weeks earlier than they did, the number of coronavirus cases could have been reduced by 95% and its geographic spread limited.

This timeline, compiled from information reported by the Wall Street Journal, the Washington Post, the South China Morning Post and other sources, shows that China's cover-up and the delay in serious measures to contain the virus lasted about three weeks."

Yes. That is the South Hampton University study done in the UK.

Also remember that Red China would not allow US scientists and doctors in to study and get data in China and that they expelled journalists (except for NBC journalists (they are in negotiations for a Universal Studios deal)). And also this Fake Twitter Accounts dishonesty:

Remember at the same time China was lying saying this is not contagious they were buying medical supplies on the world market, which they're now probably selling for a profit.

Not sure if that's what you meant by "contagious" but again the WHO was complicit in the lie that the coronavirus could not be transferred between humans.

Health officials in South Korea tested 10,000 people for the novel coronavirus on Friday alone. This week, they built drive-thru coronavirus screening locations, giving hundreds of patients an assessment of their health in just 10 minutes.

The US announced its first coronavirus case on the same day South Korea did. But six weeks later, fewer than 500 Americans have gotten tests, according to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The agency's official test count — which had previously been updated daily — was stripped from the CDC site on Sunday, though US Secretary of Health and Human Services Alex Azar told ABC on the same day that the US had tested 3,600 people

In the US, experts say, a lack of funding and faulty test kits have hampered health authorities' ability to control the outbreak.

Michael Pillsbury, no fan of CCP China, is now saying that evidence that the Wuhan Coronavirus is a product of a PLA/PLAN bio-weapons lab is mounting. He mentioned papers from Chinese Doctors published in medical journals including Lancet.
I have not checked the details yet.

This popped up last month more information may be forthcoming.

"Gao is facing a storm of anger for this prediction since the outbreak in December 2019 of new coronavirus COVID-19, more infectious and deadly than SARS. As of 7 March, according to the World Health Organization, COVID-19 has caused 3073 deaths and infected 80,813 people in China, with hundreds of thousands more under medical observation. A medical and humanitarian tragedy has wreaked havoc in Wuhan city and Hubei province, the epicentre of the epidemic.

The most grievous failings are the government cover-ups and censorship in the early phases of the epidemic which cost the country a precious three weeks in January to fight the virus."

Yes, Australia and New Zealand have absolutely been hit. Both countries had thousands fly in from China (as is usual in that part of the world) early on, and kept allowing international arrivals from all over the world long past the time they should have. One cruise ship allowed to dock in Australia had 110 cases on board ... all of whom went straight out into the community - in taxis, on trains, on domestic flights, etc. Those 110 are responsible for probably half of the 6000 total cases, and a considerable number of the deaths.

The reason both countries are doing so well is because they've implemented (voluntarily initially, then by law) almost complete lock-down. No churches, cinemas, gyms, sport, schools, universities, parties, nothing. No non-essential travel of any kind, and no more than two people together anywhere outside of the home - and then only for essentials. No more than one visitor to your home. No sitting down anywhere in public places. State borders closed or limited, camp grounds, resorts, national parks etc closed. No fishing, hiking, hunting, camping, caravaning etc allowed. No travel outside of cities, no retreating to your rural property, fishing shack, or beach house. Cafes and restaurants can only provide takeaways (though not many are willing to risk that, even with the new 'no cash' thing) .. it's illegal to dine in now. Etc etc.

They really aren't. Their death rate is terrible. Try comparing them to South Korea, instead of the disaster zones.
