Could testosterone differences explain race and crime gaps?

Have you evidence estrogen reduces violent behavior? And that testosterone isn't linked to aggression?

And if Blacks and Whites are shown to have different estrogen levels, can I assume you'd just ignore the data and whinge about some other hormone being ignored?

 

We don't agree on anything, there are no races of dogs, there are no races of people, this is simple high school level biology /genetics you're failing to grasp....race is an invented social construct it has no validity in science...

The testosterone differences between individuals doesn't seem to correlate with melanin content in the skin. But it DOES seem to correlate pretty well with gender. Males have a lot more than females.

So if one were to honestly propose a testosterone-based explanation of differential crime rates, one would be best advised to identify the largest differences in testosterone between groups of people.

What I see going on here is like:
1) GIVEN that ni***rs are smelly, stupid, lazy, and violent, and whites are not, we should seek a biological cause.
2) Let's suggest that certain hormones are the cause
3) Therefore hormones ARE the cause.

Science, ladies and gentlemen. Pure science!

ya they're all about the phony science...I keep asking for someone to show the taxalogical classification for caucasian, oriental, sub saharan africans, aborigines etc...and all I get in return is crickets or inbred dogs(canine version of hillbillys)... they're claiming to be all scientific and they run away from a simple science question...

Im told that biology/genetics is optional in US schools, that certainly would explain a lot....

 

I figured it went without saying that one of the reasons males have far higher violent crime rates than females is due to testosterone differences.

In fact, I mentioned this in a post.

Therefore, perhaps the higher testosterone levels of West African Blacks partially explains their higher violent crime rates.

I figured it was basic logic that needn't explaining.

So you're saying dog breeds are all equally intelligent and given to the same behaviors?

Or that dog breeds are an arbitrary human construct, undercutting your 'argument' about race?

Or perhaps you're just confused and don't know what you're arguing?

 

And yet the relative proportion of violent crimes by women has been rising while the relative amounts of testosterone have not. So there is surely a cultural component.

But it's not really a binary hypothesis. The question is, to what degree does testosterone contribute to the commission of violent crimes? To answer that, you have to factor in other considerations - like poverty, cultural views, youth, population density, linguistic barriers, and a host of other possibilities. Ignoring all of these and selecting only race and hormones is like picking two trees and thinking you've found the whole forest.

And perhaps their social status, perhaps their poverty, perhaps their cultural values, perhaps strongly biased law enforcement, perhaps poor diet, etc. etc. etc. You need to widen your horizons.

But maybe it wasn't.

Slight fluctuation: The female-male violent crime ratio in 1993 was 7.1; and in 1997, was 6.5.

Page four shows the gap for murderers by gender has actually increased between 1976 and 1998.

I'm also very clear that testosterone isn't the only explanation for the violent crime gap between Blacks and Whites; however, I believe it is one of several reasons.

From a simple line of logic, it should stand that testosterone is definitely a factor for why Blacks commit violent crime at higher rates than Whites.

BUT...there are higher levels of a female hormone known as Estradiol in blacks than whites.

People that come from Africa are some of the most intelligent hard working people I know.

Yes, that's true. And yet the average IQ in sub-Saharan Africa is trending south of 80.
How does one explain this seeming paradox? Answer is simple: only the brightest Africans come over to the U.S. to study abroad.
Same thing with Black people living in white neighborhoods, they're likely to be more intelligent than the people living around them. It really takes a lot of motivation and smarts to go pull up roots and settle into a community where you may not really fit in. Upper middle class African Americans living in white communities really have a love-hate relationship with their ethnic culture. There are many aspects they miss, but at the same time they bemoan all the negatives, perhaps the reasons they chose not to live in a Black community in the first place...

He's studied and worked full time since he got here.
