If the videos were a lie and there was no selling going on then why was the guy making the video indicted for attempting to buy based on the false videos? You are saying he was indicted yet there was no crime being committed in the evidence.

I don't think that's what the videos creators as are charged with. Its more of creating false badges, having hidden video cameras and recordings conversation, etc.

Ask it however you wish but lying to the court, or manipulating evidence for a particular result is a criminal act. Just too bad more of the criminal police officers and prosecutors are not held to the same standard.

You missed the reference, I see. Calling the medical research exemption a "loophole" implies that it is an unintended error in the law, or a "bug." On the contrary, there is no loophole, simply a deliberately crafted, narrowly specific exception - a "feature" of the law, not a "bug."

(a) "Human organ" means the human kidney, liver, heart, lung, pancreas, eye, bone, skin, fetal tissue, or any other human organ or tissue, but does not include hair or blood, blood components (including plasma), blood derivatives, or blood reagents.

(b) A person commits an offense if he or she knowingly or intentionally offers to buy, offers to sell, acquires, receives, sells, or otherwise transfers any human organ for valuable consideration.

(c) It is an exception to the application of this section that the valuable consideration is: (1) a fee paid to a physician or to other medical personnel for services rendered in the usual course of medical practice or a fee paid for hospital or other clinical services; (2) reimbursement of legal or medical expenses incurred for the benefit of the ultimate receiver of the organ; or (3) reimbursement of expenses of travel, housing, and lost wages incurred by the donor of a human organ in connection with the donation of the organ.

(d) A violation of this section is a Class A misdemeanor.

So, the grand jury looked at the tapes, looked at PP's records, talked to witnesses, and came to the simple and obvious conclusion - the lying propagandist who solicited fetal organs under false pretenses needed to be charged under Section b of the statute, and PP was completely compliant and guiltless of wrongdoing under Section c, Clauses 1 and 2. David Daleiden had no foundation that actually used the fetal materials he was soliciting for "medical research." In fact, his "research company" was a complete scam for the sole purpose of (unsuccessfully) tricking PP employees into saying something incriminating. The irony that the only person caught on tape saying anything incriminating was the person actually stupid and arrogant enough to make the "entrapment" tape to begin with is just icing on the cake.

The law worked EXACTLY the way it was supposed to work, the way the legislators who wrote it and the governor who signed it INTENDED it to work. I know it sucks to have Reich-wing blinders that prevent even that little bit of pure logic through, but hey - whatcha gonna do? We must all learn to work within our limits...

 

The videos were edited so as to create a fraudulent representation of what actually took place, and images were added that were falsely represented as something they were not. They attempted to falsify evidence and present it as factual. That is a deceitful lie. It is illegal to present false evidence to a court for any reason.
