There are only 8,000 people in the city limits here and I'm sure we have far more city cops in addition to the county deputies. I probably see six cops just driving back and forth to Walmart from my house which is 4 miles one way.

Edit.... I just reread your post and saw it was the school Police department. Yes that does seem rather unusual

No one forced you to get vaccinated.
This is just BS. If you had paid attention in school, you would know your heritage. If you're confused about your sexuality, don't blame us. "Big Brother Government?" You mean like Oklahoma's abortion law?
None of them have taken care of this...

Not in Uvalde. Hell, the school district in a town of 15,000 people had a six-person police force.
The people in those communities have to take corrective action. It appears they have in NYC.

An amendment won't pass and there is no right to concealed carry. Now, that said, I would the okay with legislation that would allow for people to be licensed, the default unless they're senile, mentally ill, etc.

Meanwhile, the people inside might be bleeding out. There's no excuse.
    You have to wonder.
More irony. The guy is about to get sworn in as a city councilman. Good luck with that. He's under police protection—the real police.

We have real police visiting our schools regularly to visit with the students.

The high court obviously disagrees with you and so does the Constitution. You have a right to bare arms that doesn't just mean hang them over your fireplace.

I don't think you have a right to concealed carry.

That would be your opinion, obviously the highest court in the land disagrees with your opinion.

Upon what do you base that opinion?

Not good enough, and the right to concealed carry is a fundamental human right protected by the 2nd amendment. When at least 50% of the public is carrying a concealed handgun there will be peace on the streets, and when several qualified armed volunteers are present on every floor of every school there will be no more mass murders in schools.

If cowardice is acceptable, then they need to remove the "I will carry out my duties fearlessly" from the policeman's oath.

    They are real LE officers.

In Texas, the 'real' cops stood around doing nothing while a Federal agent took down the killer.

Not according to SCOTUS. District of Columbia v. Heller and McDonald v. City of Chicago have expanded gun rights, but they don't go as far as you'd like. As long as we have mentally ill and senile folks walking the streets, we'll have incidents in a nation of 330+m people. I can't see SCOTUS creating an absolute right to concealed carry.
I know many teachers who would quit if teachers were allowed to carry by their school district and others who quit if they knew a teacher was carrying in their school. My question to you: how much more do you want to pay teachers?

The right to carry a concealed handgun is a fundamental human right -- self defense.
Human beings, including judges often often work to deny people their fundamental human rights.

The failure to confine all the obvious psychotics is just more evidence of how sick and detached from the real world our entrenched corrupt bipartisan ruling political class has become.

SCOTUS opinions that still allow states to restrict guns, including concealed carry.

Concealed carry is not a right according to SCOTUS. Maybe the present Court will take up a case and rule as you wish, but I wouldn't bet on it.

Have you ever looked at District of Columbia vs. Heller?

DC thought it would get cute and force restrictions on gun owners that would make it all but impossible to use a handgun in self-defense. SCOTUS put a stop to that, but did not stop states from restricting concealed carry.

Are we like two ships passing in the night? It isn't a constitutional right.

Self defense, carrying a concealed handgun, is a fundamental human right.
The COTUS protects the right to self defense and so the right to carry a concealed handgun -- or a rifle -- or a shotgun.

Scofflaw judges have been a problem throughout human history.
Read any newspaper, and you will discover that our criminal justice system is as corrupt as the rest of our entrenched corrupt bipartisan ruling political class.

Hence the 2nd amendment and the political establishments hostility to the 2nd amendment.

That means that our corrupt criminal justice system will punish you for exercising your protected fundamental human rights under color of law.

Another reason why Americans openly display their contempt for judges and the rest of our corrupt bipartisan ruling political class. Hell, they have tried to burn down federal courthouses. You applauded Trump for stopping them -- right? ;-)

Only a fool charges into guns when they have no idea what the situation is- and police, like military, have a chain of command that must be followed. It's possible the person is charge made bad decisions, but we hardly know that yet. And of course, most of the critics screaming they should have blindly charged in certainly would not have done so themselves if they had actually been faced with the situation. Arm-chair critics that don't play the game are poor judges of those who do. Let the follow-ups take it's course.

What the hell are you talking about? I gave you specific evidence some states limit concealed carry. You don't have to agree with their decision, but refusing to acknowledge reality is absurd.
