It is irrelevant for you to think that, when the protest is that we don't have to make a loyalty statement in order to have employment. That is what Trump and you do not understand.

And I might argue with this (in agreement), however this is not the stated goal nor has it been until now.

    Edit to add in agreement.

It's not a loyalty statement, these are actors in a play everything they do is scripted and by definition isn't "reality."

Please keep going. We want liberals to see respect for the flag and anthem be a purely conservative position while disrespect for it purely a liberal one. Keep it up. :)

So they pick the one time out their four hour work week to take a knee but it has nothing to do with the flag that's being honored at the very moment they are kneeling? Okay...

You are attacking him for saying it. You are so full of crap it’s poring out of your eyes. You actually believe the vast majority of Americans hate the flag and the anthem? Please back that stupid claim up.

It was certainly what President Trump implied.

Anyone who thinks the vast majority of Americans agree with Trump on this is not in touch with reality.

To disagree well, one must understand well.

They are too stupid to care that Trump is a self-serving swindler that does not have allegiance to any one or any country and is only concerned with his bottom line. He's an idiot extraordinaire who cares zero for his supporters and they actually get their panties twisted by a protest during a song that should have been replaced many moons ago by one that is actually inspiring and singable. The same knuckle dragging crowd that wrings their hands over whether or not a politician wears flag lapel pin...as if that is what makes a patriot. The Idocracy crowd indeed!

The vast majority of Americans, left and right, believe it's wrong to openly disrespect the flag and the anthem. That's reality.

A bunch of dolts that believe the swindler-in-chief would not have stolen their money at Trump University if he was given the opportunity. These are the rubes that side with him on this NFL bull-****.

Hey lady...don't let him touch your baby. We don't know whose ***** he grabbed before the show.

Did you miss the part where he had the word "before" in both the subject line and the body of the article he posted?

You're right, I didn't read your posts on Jones.

He didn't give his "word". The people who were spreading the lie yesterday that Jones said he would "fire" anyone who wouldn't stand for the anthem is who I was talking about. And there were a few of them.

    https://sports.yahoo.com/kneeling-c...ews-meme-featuring-jerry-jones-030937782.html

Jones is a better leader than Trump. Unlike Trump, he doesn't resort to name calling like a little kid. He acts like an adult and as a result, got his players to act the right way. See, that's how things are done in the adult world. Trump would be wise to take some lessons from Jones. Jones is a uniter. He united his team last night, just as all of the other coaches and owners did. Trump couldn't unite an army of hungry ants at a picnic.

Jones does not support Trump's obnoxious rhetoric, and he doesn't support the idea of Trump telling him what he should do with his own property, which is the Dallas Cowboys.

LOL Once again your inability to educate yourself on the people you comment on rears its ugly head. Jerry Jones is a blatant sexist who has cheated on his wife more times than anyone except slick willy although I haven't heard he raped any women yet.

He's a uniter all right. A uniter of himself and younger women to sleep around on his wife with!

Jerry Jones. The new darling of far left feminists everywhere. :roflol:

The NFL is breaking its own laws whether you like it or not. Their hypocrisy has been made abundantly clear.

Except that is a false conclusion and false analysis. First, it is whether highly paid actors can disregard their contracted script and instead do their own diametrically opposite performance as the NFL Operations Manual requires those ACTORS to stand to the national anthem as part of their acting.

Second it is not about "loyalty to the state." It is about respecting those Americans and this country that made them multi-millionaires and free, where if they were in N.Korea they would have been impoverished and now would undergoing being tortured to death.

Kim Jung Un is proud of those black millionaire protesters and he couldn't have scripted their conduct better if he had done it himself.

What a bunch of nonsense. The national anthem at NFL games and standing for the flag has been an uninterrupted "American value" until now.

It is specific what the national anthem represents: It is a song SPECIFICALLY honoring those of our new nation's military who fought against seemingly impossible odds refusing to surrender in the fight and war for independence from a totalitarian monarchy. Since the football players are protesting those who fought for freedom from the King of England, a man of absolute dictatorial power, they are protesting the USA specifically in support of dictators such as Kim Jung Un and protesting against democracy itself.

That national anthem is NOT a song of loyalty to the government. It is a song that SPECIFICALLY honors American soldiers in the fight against a dictatorship and for freedom and democracy - which obviously the players hate and want to tear down as the meaning of their protest.

The majority of Americans agree with the President and see the players as ungrateful malcontents and troublemakers.

    Well said....

What's interesting is that the NFL is backtracking on the bolded. In response to questions about the NFL rule, the NFL's vice president of communications, Brian McCarthy, "stressed that [the] passage about the national anthem is a guideline and not a requirement."

The NFL thought it was important enough to include in their Operations Manual that "It should be pointed out to players and coaches that we continue to be judged by the public in this area of respect for the flag and our country". The fact is that the public does judge the players as highly paid crybabies when they openly disrespect flag and country. That's what kneeling does. But now the NFL is circling their wagon to protect their brand and revenue. Rules be damned.

Isn't the unfettered greed of billionaire owners a wonderful thing??
