On this revolution business, the "revolutionaries" would presumably be the people who would henceforth be unable to get an abortion, and their allies. And what will they want? Specifically? A constitutional amendment enshrining Roe v. Wade? A federal statute? Do we need a revolution to amend the Constitution or the United States Code? (No.)

So that eliminates right off all the nuts in the blue states because, they can get an abortion now, with or without Roe v. Wade.

That leaves people in red states, like Mississippi, which doesn't have an outright ban anyway. What percentage of Mississippians are going to revolt over this? They HATE Roe v. Wade!

And for what? To protest a law ALLOWING abortion up to 15 weeks and and in some cases after 15 weeks? That their own legislators enacted? In the lazy Deep South not inclined to rock the boat? Where there's no indication that they are outraged about the Mississippi statute? I don't see it. I suppose that the interest groups currently calling for protests outside the justices own homes could go down to Mississippi and rile up those relatively few women who will feel aggrieved. Like a civil rights march?

This case is provoking a platform for lots of people to get on TV and to write "It's the end of democrazy!!"

 

Many politicians like this Shaheen have absolutely no clue what democracy means (or they intend on reinterpreting democracy or destroying democracy).

What SCOTUS suggests in throwing the question of abortion to the states is the epitome of democracy...That isn't my opinion. That is fact.

 

If you detected contempt, it's for the idea that the 2nd amendment makes any difference in a modern war. Having pa's shotgun, or Leeroy's piece, doesn't prevent government tyranny. Nor would laws against guns prevent revolutionaries from having them, frankly.
