WASHINGTON ― Senate Democrats just gave a huge gift to President Donald Trump: They agreed to expedite votes on 15 of his nominees to lifetime federal court seats because they wanted to go home.

Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (Ky.) had lined up votes for all those district court nominees last week. Normally, Senate rules require up to 30 hours of waiting time for each nominee ― something Democrats typically take advantage of to delay action on confirming Trump judges. But Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (N.Y.) cut a deal with McConnell on Tuesday to bypass the wait times and let them all get through.

Why? So Democrats could get back to campaigning and focusing on winning re-election in November. The Senate is now out of session until next Tuesday.

There is so much information that CNN, ABC, NBC, CBS, MSNBC simply will not report, or will just give a quick passby. The Leftists not only know so much that isn't so, they also just plain don't know so much that is happening around them.

It's good to get more balance on the courts. Trump's judicial picks have been mostly solid.

I have a feeling that once the mid-terms are over and the government remains solidly red, these next two years are going to be outstanding. Or to quote a certain former President: Trump will have more flexibility once this is all over. Progress :D

Democrats are screaming #Collusion meanwhile @realDonaldTrump is quietly stacking the courts with Constitutionalists. I’m not mad.

After just 18 months, Trump has “flipped” two circuits — the Sixth and Seventh — from prog to more properly conservative. Two more — the Eighth and the 11th — are on the verge of tipping. Even circuits that are decidedly liberal are undergoing significant changes. “It’ll be really important for the Second and the Ninth Circuits to have between two and four really good, high-octane intellectual conservative jurists,” explains a person close to the judicial-nominations process, “because dissents provide a signaling function to the U.S. Supreme Court, and those are very important circuits.”

If there's something I've come to learn, it's this: We have one quirky country. We really are different from everyone else(not that different is better or necessarily worse. It is what it is as they say.) And one of the drawbacks of said quirky country, is that up until POTUS Trump I can't honestly say we had an effective President.

Reagan was up until 1988(and honestly, the neo-conservatives branched out from under Reagan(really started along with Nixon who was connected with Bush SR). Clinton was economic nostalgia(and mostly, not even due to him but due to the .com bubble coinciding with his second term.). Bush JR will forever be attached to weapons of mass destruction, and Obama was a failure beyond all possible failures.

Going back even further in US History, outside of our framers I'd say we generally have a 25-30% hit rate at best, of effective Presidents.

And Trump was right: The last truly great American President for a full term was Dwight.D.Eisenhower(1954-1961).

Point is, does Trump have his fallacies? Yeah, he does. No one denies that. But is it worth putting the system over its head(the same said system that largely allowed the US to prosper in spite of its historically flagging leadership) just to get rid of and/or spite the guy? No, it's not.

I think Trump will indeed be the next Reagan. Generally effective, not without controversy but at least it's an effective head of State. And that's a big upgrade over politicians with little experience and/or politicians without coalition building skills.

(And most of that, is invading our Congress these days.) While everyone has to get their start somewhere, I think it's a problem with said start-up politicians are viewed as the 'future' and their policy is given leverage inside of the party(Cough, Cortez, Cough.)

While I'm a proponent for my revolutionary changes, I also am a fan of improving and maintaining the system if that's an option. And if that is our primary objective, then we need a hell of a lot more out of Congress and less focus on POTUS Trump.

Thanks Democrats! Stab your base in the back and run home and try to save your sorry asses!

Thank you for all these judges, Mitch

This is the real political change that will protect the nation from Marxism for the rest our lives.

With the Senate confirming three more appellate judges on Thursday, President Trump has now appointed and confirmed 29 circuit judges (out of 179) and two Supreme Court justices.

16% of the Federal Judiciary are Trump Appointees an 22% of The Supreme Court. Not bad, in less than two years!

Andrew Malcolm wrote, "During last month’s budget legislative struggles, Trump one day observed that actually he wouldn’t mind a government shutdown over funding for a border wall.

"When asked, McConnell simply said there would be no shutdown, a direct contradiction of the president that surprisingly drew no response.

"That’s a small sign that this political odd couple, a president with no political experience or discipline and a Senate leader with tons of both are learning to work together. The proof is in what they accomplish that’s lasting, like nearly five dozen lifetime judicial appointments so far.

"Remember, Trump’s book was titled 'The Art of the Deal.' McConnell’s memoir was called 'The Long Game.' More personally apt book titles are hard to imagine."

The judiciary matters. The confirmation of Kavanaugh brought out the worst in Democrats, which then rallied Republicans as no issue has in this presidency.

Mitch McConnell played hardball. Republicans won. The judiciary will be far more conservative -- and American -- at the end of this presidency than it was at the beginning.

Jim Manley wrote, "Mitch McConnell Is Going to Kill the United States Senate. And the truth is, he doesn’t care so long as he gets his judges."

Maybe if the Senate actually did its job instead of punting issues to the judiciary and the rule-making bureaucracy, judges wouldn't be worth more than the Senate.

Democrat voters don't know the front lines.

They know what the media tells them, and THAT is what lefty politicians tell them is the news.

If Trump where to offer congressional Democrats an EBT card he could probably get them to talk Ginsburg into retirement.

In my OP, I discussed the meaningful advancements of the Trump administration that dems had no idea about-instead elected dems preferred to keep their base frothy about other issues (we know how Kavanaugh went).

It sounds like very few dems are aware of what even happened.
