Gun control activists are not necessarily anti-Americans, but gun control activism is clearly anti-American. Communism is inherently anti-American, but many Communists fought for America in war. Standing armies and secret police/spy agencies are fundamentally anti-American. It became apparent after independence that they were necessary evils. Surely you know that.
Huh ? Gun control activism is anti- American. So, it’s American to allow six year olds, felons and the mentally ill unfettered access to full automatic weapons ? Btw, what does gun control activism mean ? Is the opposite, gun control pacifism ?
Of course it is knowable. In fact, AR 15s and other similar weapons can be obtained with ease by anyone who wants one regardless of any "gun ban". That is actually obviously true.
Anyone who feels compelled to have such a weapon can easily obtain them regardless of any gun ban. Weapons bought and sold in London... 'Easier to pick up than a bag of chips.' Buying a gun is much like any other fashion purchase; the most desirable models are those used by film and television heroes. The most popular weapons currently bought and sold on the streets of London include... .22 Derringer Small enough to hide inside a fist, the Derringer was used for self-protection by women in the Wild West. Now commonly carried by gangsters who appreciate the fact it can be so easily concealed. 9mm Beretta Popularised by Mel Gibson in the Lethal Weapon films, the Beretta is a highly sought-after but rare gun on the streets of London. Mach 10 sub-machine gun Originally developed for close-quarter combat during the Vietnam war, this fearsome weapon is capable of firing 1,200 rounds per minute. Widely available as a deactivated collector's item but, because of its simple construction, it is relatively easy to restore to full working order. .38 snub-nosed Smith & Wesson The weapon of choice for professional hitmen because it is small and compact but very powerful. Being a revolver, it retains the shell cases after each bullet has been fired, unlike automatics which eject their cases, leaving forensic evidence at the scene of a crime. 9mm Glock 17 Used by elite police and military forces around the world, the Glock is composed of high-tensile plastic, rather than the usual metal, which makes it much lighter and easier to handle. Brocock ME38 Magnum Underworld armourers have found that this solidly constructed air pistol is capable of firing live .22 ammunition after a few simple modifications to the bullet chamber. Converted Brococks now account for a significant proportion of illegal guns circulating in London." http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/dynam...?in_review_id=509803&in_review_text_id=473066
Sure, any one can buy them at gun shows and in private sales, with no requirements. Always could. And, they can buy them in private sales and at gun shows too.. And no one is required to show proof of age or citizenship or whether they are a felon. So why the hang up with Dick’s ?
It has been proved again and again. Buying guns after guns are banned is as easy as ordering a pizza. "Chris, a stocky but affable thirty-something South Londoner recently retired from a career in armed robbery, comes bounding back from the bar with a cheeky grin on his face. 'It'll be about 20 minutes,' he says. 'Less time than it takes to deliver a pizza and plenty of time for another drink. Same again?' We are sitting behind a busy pool table in the dingy annexe of a pub on the outskirts of Catford which, according to Chris, is one of the easiest places in the capital to buy an illegal gun. ... Few will be surprised that the number of illegal guns used on the streets of London is currently at an all-time high, with at least two shootings and four armed robberies every day since the start of the year...." THIS IS LONDON, By Danny Brown, 2/28/02. http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/dynam...?in_review_id=509803&in_review_text_id=473066 Gun bans, like most gun control schemes, are irrational and dangerous.
Dick's supports the activist gun control movement. No one who is not part of that movement should shop at Dick's.
Absolutely. I support Dick's right to engage in gun control activism. But then I am not a shareholder.
