    So investigate a cyber crime without the digital footprints? The IC rubber stamped the Crowdstrike report. But truthfully I don't care about the GRU being scapegoated, it's about the FBI indifference, and IC's low standards. Mueller better hope Putin won't gamble and have a GRU officer surrender. The defense will demand an independent forensic exam of it's own. It'll be anothe FB troll circus.

    Cyber attacks that successfully penetrated the DNC computing system began in 2015. Attacks by "Cozy Bear" began in the summer of 2015. Attacks by "Fancy Bear" began in April 2016. It was after the "Fancy Bear" group began their activities that the compromised system became apparent. The groups were presumed to have been spying on communications, stealing opposition research on Donald Trump, as well as reading all email and chats. Both were finally identified by CrowdStrike in May 2016. Both groups of intruders were successfully expelled from the DNC systems within hours after detection. These attacks are considered to be part of a group of recent attacks targeting U.S. government departments and several political organizations, including 2016 campaign organizations.[1][2][3][4][5]

    oh sure, but theyll never be able to prosecute anyone for their "crimes" because the defense would get access to the server, in order to defend their clients, and hilariously, even the prosecutor was never given access.

    Heck theres no way to prove crowd strike sent traces from actual server.

    Its a farce

    They did the forensics, it’s how they got the indictments
    If they didn’t trust the fbi they’d have never turned over the imaged dated

    They had what Crowdstrike provided. Period. Bases on assumptions, the IC began looking for traffic between IP addresses Crowdstrike provided. https://theintept.com/2016/12/14/heres-the-public-evidence-russia-hacked-the-dnc-its-not-enough/ The IC blindly accepted what Crowdstrike provided, and never questioned the FBI for not doing the forensics themselves. Are Crowdstrike analysts superior to the FBI / NSA / CIA analysts? That's a bigger problem isn't it?
