the investigation was on-going, Obama did not want to announce Trump's possible collusion with Russia as it might influence the election, unlike Republicans that leaked everything they could about Clinton right before the election - if Obama would of announced that Russia was trying to hack the election to help Trump win, he may of lost

 

Obama had been illegally spying on the campaign, the FBI had worked out an "insurance policy" in the event Trump was elected, which was viewed as an extreme long shot. Obama didn't want to upset his carefully arranged applecart because he thought Hillary was cruising in on a landslide that would result in effectively, his third and fourth term.

In fact, Comey testified that he didn't conceal Weiner, precisely because he judged Hillary's pending election to be an absolute certainty and he didn't want the concealment of Weiner to taint her "victory". did Comey leak to harm Clinton after she won, who knows, but his leaks were definitely not to help her

 

He didn't "leak" about Clinton, he leaked about Trump, through a cut out, after he was fired. He revealed that Weiner was in possession of thousands of State Department emails after he had told Congress that the investigation was over, now that it was reopened, he felt he had a duty to inform Congress and he felt it was safe to do so, because he was certain she was cruising into a sure victory, and he didn't want this to taint that "victory", Silly!
