    Most places are moving to requirements that either hormone treatment has started or surgery has been undertaken because perverts were taking advantage of loopholes implemented to help ease the suffering of others.

    Your source was just an editorial OPINION!

    The AAPL REMOVED that erroneous distinction from the DSM because it homosexuality is NOT a mental illness just as heterosexuality is not a mental illness either!

    What is a mental illness is HOMOPHOBIA and BIGOTRY in my opinion since they are based entirely upon FACTLESS DELUSION regarding homosexuals!

    Because gender reassignment surgery WORKS and reduces the incidence of SUICIDES among the transgendered.

    Being transgendered is NOT a mental illness any more than being heterosexual or homosexual is a mental illness.

    Another BOGUS study from almost 3 DECADES ago?

    Back then homosexuality was still a crime in many red states and gays were still "in the closet" so the accuracy of those results is dubious at best.
