What does a "decorated veteran" have to do with it.? There are millions of us who are decorated veterans.

    Speaking of stifling dissent..............

Intel agencies push to close threats hearing after Trump outburst
    https://www.politico.com/news/2020/01/15/intel-agencies-threats-hearing-trump-099494

The U.S. intelligence community is trying to persuade House and Senate lawmakers to drop the public portion of an annual briefing on the globe’s greatest security threats — a move compelled by last year’s session that provoked an angry outburst from President Donald Trump, multiple sources told POLITICO.

Officials from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, on behalf of the larger clandestine community, don’t want agency chiefs to be seen on-camera as disagreeing with the president on big issues such as Iran, Russia or North Korea, according to three people familiar with preliminary negotiations over what's known as the Worldwide Threats hearing.

Intel hearing on global threats delayed amid fears of provoking Trump's ire

They tried. It didn't work. The Dems sprayed potpourri instead of poison, and Trump came out smelling like a rose.

Tell us how, in principle, Trump firing Vindman was like the rape of Nanking.

Then do the bombing of Hiroshima after that.

I don't think it's possible for a Trumpette to see the danger in a prez purging people who truthfully testified about what he did. Cuz........you know...........DLS...........Dear Leader Syndrome.

I've been hearing all about the "danger" of Trump for three years and counting now.

The gulags, re-education camps, and WWIII are all upon us, but I'm just not wearing the progressive-world goggles that would let me see it.

Please prove to me progressives have been warning about gulags and re-education camps. Otherwise, it's just a strawman argument.

BTW, you do remember how the House hearings were being compared to Soviet style tactics, right?

James Gill: Scalise decries Soviet-style tactics, but Adam Schiff is no Joseph Stalin
    https://www.nola.com/opinions/article_28f9ba7e-fa5f-11e9-bc0c-0b77d95f8d35.html

Rep. Louie Gohmert, R-Texas, was overheard saying Nadler's move was "Stalin-esque," adding, "Let's have a dictator."

    It seems harsh.

But all of us would do the same. Nobody wants a rat in the nest.

Folks like Vindman are exactly what we the people need in positions where they can call out egregious illegal/unethical behavior when it occurs. You see a rat, I see a patriot.

My point was that if you were in Trumps shoes you would have ousted him as well for being a rat.

Human nature, we don’t want people around us that we don’t trust if we can help it.

Most of the people who think that such a fellow holds exalted rank have themselves never been in the military. It's really just the first rank during which you are not considered an ongoing waste of space as an officer.

This is not perfect, as you think all Trump supporters would believe it to be. The fact that he was simply moved mid-assignment, being sent back to the Pentagon, is a bit of a win for him. Justice has not been done until he is dishonorably discharged from the military; the basis for this would be his insubordination for not following a lawful order from the president. As the transcript shows no criminality, he was simply trying to undermine the administration.

Trump's Impeachment Is Just Like The Fall Of the Roman Empire
"The Republican senators’ speedy exoneration of Trump marks perhaps the most dramatic step in their capitulation to the president over the past three years.
That process, as I wrote in The Conversation last fall, recalls the ancient Roman senate’s compliance with the autocratic rule of the emperors and its transformation into a body largely reliant on the emperors’ whims."

The "principle" of Stalin's purge and Trump removing a military officer is exactly the same?

    Totally bizarre!

Well I think Trump has been handling the military pretty well. Everybody doesn't have to know everything and I would think a president should be surrounded by people with closed mouths. I don't agree with Trump on a lot of things but I think the system needs an enema.

As with all Trumpette's, you have it upside down and backwards.

"During his decades of service to this country, LTC Alexander Vindman has served quietly but dutifully, and he has served with honor. He came into the public eye only when subpoenaed to testify before Congress, and he did what the law demanded. In recent months, many entrusted with power in our political system have cowered out of fear. And, yet, a handful of men and women, not endowed with prestige or power, but equipped only with a sense of right borne out of years of quiet service to their country made different choices.

They courageously chose to honor their duty with integrity, to trust the truth, and to put their faith in country ahead of fear. And they have paid a price. The truth has cost LTC Alexander Vindman his job, his career, and his privacy.

He did what any member of our military is charged with doing every day: he followed orders, he obeyed his oath, and he served his country, even when doing so was fraught with danger and personal peril. And for that, the most powerful man in the world - buoyed by the silent, the pliable, and the complicit - has decided to exact revenge.

LTC Alexander Vindman leaves the White House today. But we must not accept the departure of truth, duty, and loyalty that he represents. In this country right matters, and so does truth. Truth is not partisan. If we allow truthful voices to be silenced, if we ignore their warnings, eventually there will be no one left to warn us.'

Given that Fiona Hill, Jennifer Williams, Kurt Volker, Bill Taylor, LTC Vindman, his twin brother, Gordo Sondland, Rick Perry, Marie Yovanovitch, Tim Morrison, Mike McKinley, Earl Matthews, and the whistleblower have all either been fired, reassigned, resigned, and or been smeared by right wing media and the POS in the Oval Office due to their involvement in or truthful testimony about Trumps illegal activities regarding a failed attempt to extort Ukraine.............do you think it is more or less likely for people working in the government to come forward to report inappropriate/illegal activities by the Orange Fraud?
