And what we are seeing NOW is a result of what the DNC did. Call it the Revenge of the Progressives if you like but in reality it is a RELEASE of a pent up DEMAND for ACTION against the never ending Republican/Libertarian assault on We the People. Bernie lit the fuse that resulted in the current WAVE of Progressives getting off their asses and taking back our nation. Personally I am proud of them and I their efforts. I am supporting them and hope that they succeed in November. If they do the establishment Dems will have to deal with them and that is going to be an interesting development because if they control the House the Progressives are not going to tolerate being treated the same way that Bernie was.
Guess what. In 2016 the Democratic candidate with the most total votes, was the candidate that won the most states , who was the candidate that won the most pledged delegates , who was the candidate who won the most unpledged delegates. By every single measure Clinton did better than Sanders. So you are wrong. Voting definitely paid off for voters in our party contest. On the other hand in the General election the candidate with the most votes lost to the candidate with fewer.
Your constituency was given no other real choice but to vote for Hillary, so it doesn't surprise me that she won. Her only real competition in the primary was Bernie, who got sandbagged by Hillary's DNC when it looked like he might be gaining momentum. There were many other better candidates who "chose" not to participate, because if they did, they would have beaten the chosen one easily and subsequently wiped the floor with Trump. If I were a democrat, I would want to know why.
You have this a little as backwards. There were better qualified candidates ( defined as actual Democrats for longer than 6 months) who chose not to run, but they did not make the choice because they thought they would beat her. they decided that Hillary had too much of a head start for them be make a viable run. She had a campaign presence and contacts in all fifty states, a donor / voter list from eight years before, solid commitments from unpledged delegates and party bigwigs to endorse her, and one hell of a treasure chest. Plus the Clinton 'exploratory' campaign had played a role in helping devise the rules in each state party convention that might be advantageous. It would be very hard for an upstart campaign of any competitor to convince big donors to invest in their dream of stopping the Clinton Juggernaut. We won't even start on her 'loan' to the virtually bankrupt DNC.
I don't know. The dims have Sanders, Warren, and Biden for serious candidates. Sanders and Biden are knocking on 80 and Warren has more baggage than a red cap. I thought Trump was the only they could have beat in 2016. They were not even up to that. Now Trump is showing that he keeps his promises and is effective. I don't see anyone who could lay a glove on him if he runs again in 2020.
Biden would more than lay a glove on him. I don't like it but here it is ... https://www.politico.com/story/2018/08/01/biden-trump-2020-elections-752979
Polls don't mean much to me. Polls made Hillary the easy winner too. This poll in addition gives no account of who was polled. If you poll mostly democrats then say Biden wins, does it mean anything? Do you think America wants an 80 year old president who has been caught felling up women a dozen times? Do you think an 80 year old man who wants to drag someone out behind the school and kick his butt is playing with a full deck?
Good to see you finally accept Trump for what he is. However, half the ones pawed by Biden are about 10 years old.
You are right it is pathetic and creepy. Dirty old man, I wouldn't want him alone with my granddaughter. Your apology is accepted. You can't cure stupid. By the way, I have grabbed a few p####ys in my day too. You going to tell me you haven't. But to make it clear they weren't little girls like your buddy Biden prefers. Maybe you prefer grabbing man parts. I don't care that is your choice.
Refusal to vote is a sort of vote in itself. Unfortunately, this is illegal (but not criminal) in my country. We are forced to vote. If you have a ballot between Stalin and Hitler, it's perfectly rational to refuse to vote. You're not going to vote for Stalin just cause he's the lesser of two evils. All choices are unacceptable. This is often the case in our elections.
How many people frequent this site? Maybe we can make some sort of arrangement and really screw them over.
If you've seen that episode of South Park where the kids have to choose between a ****** and a turkey sandwich, that's how I envision elections more often than not. I like to think of it as having to choose between chlamydia and gonorrhea when all you're looking for is penicillin.
I think there are 5 or 6 "Americas," and it depends on who shows up to vote. 1. We have the crazy Bernie hard Left 2. The embittered Clinton liberals 3. The nostalgic Reagan Republicans 4. The energized Trump Republicans 5. Independents who don't like anybody 6. Libertarians Beats me who will show up.
Aren't you engaged in foreign interference in a US election now? You're no better than the damn Russians trying sway our elections.
