In fairness to the Post Office, the Republicans HAVE been hostile to it for a looooooooooong time, so even though Biden/Harris make my skin crawl, I understand this decision.

Nearly all of America was hostile to the USPS until this cheat by mail push came up and suddenly they are heroes in USAF dress blues sans dress coat.

Change your polling stations or the set up. There is no reason the front end has to be a certain way to control the backend of the operation. It is like the dropbox issue. If you are getting sued to stop it then spend the money you are spending on lawyers to pay somebody to stand there and collect them.

I must not have been clear. Masking works if everybody wears masks. But guess what we have learned about some people? Read my post and stretch that imagination! I think the clue is in the content of my post. Give it a whirl.

Ah, so it was a reading comprehension issue.
You ignored the last line “Both are complicit” (in the spread of the virus)

In the internet and fed ex age, I’m not certain there is even a need for a US postal service. And when I was there I never saw an agency so predictably rude at the counter. Also the fact that it is prohibited for private services to deliver mail inside of major US cities does seem to give it an unfair advantage in my opinion. I guess I’m hostile to it as well :)

I’m not sure about the viability of an election dependent largely upon an organization whose major union clearly favors one of the candidates.

It's amazing that you can do everything online but vote.

On April 3rd the CDC on high reversed itself out of the blue from recommending that masks were not effective or needed to recommending masks on a voluntary basis.

On April 7th people voted in the Wisconsin democrat primary with most wearing masks and nobody who voted in person died.

Amazing, absolutely amazing when the world is coming to an end with no end in sight.

Massive need; constitutionally mandated. My postal experiences are great. Bizarre criticism. Yes indeed!

You think they're going to open the ballots and throw away the ones for Trump?

Not deliver ballots from conservative areas?

But anyway, yeah - vote in person.

If people can't, riot & civil war will ensue.

Yes I think that is a possibility. Not open them as that would be time consuming but perhaps lose some from selected districts.

Then the matter has been settled. Individuals can either vote in person, or they can refrain from voting since elections for president of the united states are determined by the electoral vote, thus rendering the popular vote invalid before it is even cast.

When their major union casually announces this close to the election and in the midst of the mail in controversy that they endorse the candidate that most favors them, that presents a conflict of interest when they are a huge party to the delivery of election results.

    What Fauci actually said

"If you go and wear a mask, if you observe the physical distancing, and don't have a crowded situation, there's no reason why you shouldn't be able to do that. I mean, obviously if you're a person who is compromised physically or otherwise, you don't want to take the chance. There's the situation of mail-in voting that has been done for years in many places. So there's no reason why we shouldn't be able to vote, in person or otherwise"

What people in this thread think he said

"It's completely safe for people to vote in crowded situations, or if they are physically compromised. Mail in voting isn't necessary, there's no reason why we shouldn't be able to vote in person, period"

If Americans are willing to risk illness in line at a liquor store waiting for their whiskey or cigarettes both of which are more likely to kill them then they should be willing to stand in line at a polling place.
