I support kneeling because I believe in the First Amendment: the freedom of expression. I understand why they were kneeling: killing unarmed Black men is wrong.
There is no disunity and chaos in kneeling. The disunity and chaos is in the social unrest happening in the streets of our cities right now.
    I think Kapernick was right.

I don't know much about football. But, I've heard a few people say Drew Brees is going to be in trouble when his Black teammates refuse to block for him next season.
Do you folks think this will be a problem for Drew?

History has proven Kapernick to be right. And he has NEVER apologized for kneeling.

History has proven Kap to be a toxic termite. Brees apologized but should not have done so.

No, they are berated for rioting and disrespecting the flag. I fully support their right to do it, and I fully support my right to call them *******s for kneeling during the anthem. Both of us can say what we want. This is America. What they cannot do is riot and infringe in other people’s rights.

Not that easy.... I discussed Kaepernick back in post #37... I imagine all things being equal (no controversy or having a former starter accept backup money), he would likely be talented enough to be in the top 64 QBs in the NFL, even after 4 years off.

After all Cam Newton is still unsigned, but he's obviously expecting more money than Kaepernick would...

But, it's a little ridiculous that Complete ****** Michael Vick got a job (and did well) after his federal prison sentence and this guy is considered a worse risk....

If you say something ignorant, own it.
No one was being “disrespectful” and Brees wasn’t capitulating he simply acknowledged another point of view.

Brees illustrated that he Is most certainly a stand-up guy.

When talking with leftists, you have to discuss things in terms they understand.

The thought is your head is just as deep in the sand as Brees. Kap taking a knee has nothing to do with disrespecting the flag, it's the narrative that is used by the right to change to focus of what he is talking about.

The crazy stuff is folks wanted to destroy a man who was bringing the issue of police brutality to the light and was falsely accused of disrespecting the flag. Now folks are protesting all over the world.
