That the legality of it was possible. Again, I have no problems with taking any legal measure up until the vote has been certified and sealed. At that point, Biden is the new President. So to wit: No coup happened, no coup was attempted. That was bore out plainly by the memos.

The VP does NOT have the authority to deem ELECTORAL votes, or voters illegal. What “legal authority” is given by Alexander Hamilton via the federalist papers? Lemme get that for you….NONE.

This whole thread is based on the omission of a “legal opinion” from the federalist papers ? You know the federalist papers are not law right ? They were the interpretation of what they felt the constitution was, but they were not based on the final document.

The guy sleeping on the warm grates, drinking a bottle of Beam in the subway has just as much legal authority as Hamilton did when he wrote the essay

Among other things. Did you read what’s being claimed as “doctored”? Changes very little.

 

I had better answer my own question, since it's a lock the OP won't.

1. Per the Federalist article (and the OP), Schiff is only accused of "doctoring" a single text message. Thus "messages" is not appropriate

2. Since Schiff only read 3 texts, all labelled as "Lawmaker to Meadows", he didn't "doctor" anything sent FROM Meadows. So the phrase "BETWEEN Mark Meadows and Jim Jordan" is also factually incorrect.

If the headline is THAT wrong, who would bother reading the entire article??

 

Yep. Contest every election up until the final point, why not? Just when everything is counted/approved, don't do anything. The riots were of course wrong. But looking into the rules and seeing if the election could be recounted or something else? Fair game for both to do. (Of course, it should be triggered within a margin of 1-2 percentage points) but I see no problem with exercising any legal remedies to try and have their desired result.
