Affirmative Action does not fight discrimination. There is an inbuilt paradox in "Anti Discrimination Laws" that is you cannot fight discrimination without being guilty of discrimination. However, the main issue with Affirmative Action is not that it contains a logical paradox, but rather that it is a notion that assumes a person is only to be judged by their sex, race and ethnicity.

As Thomas Sowell has proven in his research, Affirmative Action does not have much of an impact at all on the group they are intended to assist.

It's amazing how often this "affirmative action" thing comes up as a thread topic.

Simply put, "affirmative action" is nothing more, or less, than a mechanism to promote unfairness and inequality among the races. It deliberately and unashamedly advocates giving some citizens an unfair, undeserved advantage, while putting other citizens at a disadvantage -- BASED PURELY ON RACE! Call it what it is -- REVERSE DISCRIMINATION....

The United States put the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965 into rock-solid law to establish, finally, and for all time, the total and complete EQUALITY OF ALL THE RACES BEFORE THE LAW. Then, just a few years later, this "affirmative action" thing came bubbling up from the minds of those who have no grasp of the concept of genuine equality and fairness at all, and it continues to exist to this day....

 

Reverse discrimination would be making you sit in the back of the bus because you’re white .. denying you admission to harvard, Yale, Princeton...because you are male. These groups have been denied equality for hundreds of years while white makes had the whole field. . Did you see them as less qualified?

Look -- what I'm talking about is not ancient history, like when the Roman Empire conquered my German ancestors and took them as slaves. I'm not talking about when one tribe of Sub-Saharan Black Africans conquered other tribes of Black Africans and took them as slaves, either. And, I'm not referring to a more recent time when Black African conquerors took their Black African slaves and sold them to waves of European explorers and traders!

I'm talking about the United States of America, which forever made all American citizens EQUAL BEFORE THE LAW, with the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965! Thus, for over 54 years we've wiped away the old 'Jim Crow' days and all the bad times of segregating American society. GOOD! Fifty-four years ago, we removed discrimination against any citizen solely because of RACE!

But... then along came "Affirmative Action", which was nothing but "Reverse-Discrimination"! And so, we simply replaced one wrong with another... and your faction approves of that?!

Why don't you just come out into the light of day and admit it, Renee? Admit that by supporting a scam like affirmative-action, you approve of and endorse bald-faced RACISM!
