based upon the many interactions with her here, i'd say it's a sure bet that she indoctrinates those children, daily & repetitively...

I explain to you that what you are advocating is illegal, unethical, discriminatory, and improper - and your response is to accuse me of being white??

Sounds like you're motivated by hate. Ugly stuff Renee.

While your husband is to be congratulated for his business acumen and eventual success in life, you do not make any case at all to support the idea that he is some visionary philosopher who can credibly make sweeping, unsupported claims that being "white and male" were absolutely necessary in order for him to be good at anything. Both Herman Cain and Carly Fiorina, to name just two of many countless exceptions, would find such a statement to be laughable....

Do I have to start enumerating the thousands of other highly successful non-white and non-male American citizens (some of whom I had the pleasure to work with, and, to work under) who actually 'made it' in life -- despite not being white, and despite not having a penis...?

Frankly, I have better things to do with my time, and you should find better uses for your time, too, than attempting to justify anything as OBVIOUSLY, on-its-face WRONG as "Affirmative Action" (reverse-discrimination)!

You are making the exceptions sound like the rule. Women were denied access to the top universities that had the best networking systems like Harvard and Yale and Princeton and Dartmouth etc. why do you suddenly see women in medical schools and law schools and CEOs? Do you think they suddenly became smart? Why do you suddenly see a large black middle class? I think you need to take my course in prejudice awareness. Reverse discrimination would be if white men were denied the same things women and blacks were denied. Reverse discrimination would make you sit in the back of the bus. Reverse discrimination would be to deny you access to the top universities. I won’t even acknowledge your racist statements about giving black people hundred thousand dollars.....

I’m not the one whining about women and blacks and affirmative action. Why would you get upset if I think you are a white male? What is the terrible accusation that you are so offended. It isn’t me motivated by hate.....it’s you with victim envy

I guess I should have said that my husband was given the opportunity to go on the trading floor over 40 years ago. And There were no minority men or women on the trading floor and the only women were secretaries and a maybe couple of women traders. . He even was invited to go to country clubs to play golf where women and blacks were denied admission and to his credit he wouldn’t go. My husband was lucky enough to retire in his 40s and things have changed a lot because of affirmative action. He had trained an African-American fellow and he asked my husband to come back and help him set up a minority owned firm. ..and it did very well
You do not know that many minorities non-white and non-male who were as successful then as are now. Women were not encouraged to do these high-paying jobs. Perhaps you have better things to do with your time but I am here because my time is spent giving workshops and prejudice awareness to both teachers and high school kids. I have to come here because I learned from people like you. Teachers and high school students don’t seem to have the same biases

Cute story, miss. How many more times are you planning to repeat it?

probably about 10 more times. Is that OK? And I’m sorry that you see it as a cute story but obviously the root of it goes over your cute little head

I will make sure to keep a count. :)

There is neither root nor message in your posting. You are just sharing random anecdotes about a distant past no one denies has existed and which no one argues we should return to.

The reason I mentioned the past is because it’s repeating itself and that goes over your head as does the message and the root. You are one of those people that doesn’t believe the past can repeat it self. Look at abortion rights as an example. If young women don’t know the past it would not help them fight for their rights

So you demonise kids if they don't vote they way you do? Nice balanced teaching there, Rens.

Yes, because SOME people want to keep repeating the discrimination via AA.

You are ripping out the roots destroying the beautiful tree,,, Or something like that. I don't know. Point is, we have come a long way and the days of legalised discrimination are long gone and should not be reintroduced under the fancy brand of "Affirmative Action" because that is the only way in which "history is repeating itself" in this context.

    No, I am not.

Not all women believe in abortion.

no...discrimination is not long gone! Because it is illegal to discriminate does not mean that discrimination is gone. Who said all women believe in abortion? Most women support pro-choice and they do not want men telling them what they can do and not do with their bodies
PerHaps we should do away with history classes because they’re so outdated. Maybe we shouldn’t see how Hitler manipulated his base

So, you admit you are fenicing windmills?

Most women do not need a man to tell them sleeping around is bad and that unwanted pregnancies are undesireble. I believe most women are more rational than that.

Neither do they need some expert with a fancy Liberal Arts degree to tell them what is good and what is bad.

    Leave women alone!

    I disagree.

No I don’t admit I’m fencing windmills , how silly
I would be more concerned about telling men sleeping around is bad because they can impregnate dozens of women.this may come as a shock to you..but sex is not dirty and bad for women! Interesting that you call my liberal arts degree “fancy”. Very telling.I don’t need the uneducated telling me things either

    Whatever you say, Quixote. :)

Sex is dirty and bad for both men a women if it is not kept in singularis. I believe in love and commitment and as someone who was married and who is a mother, you should agree.

As smug and pretentious as always.

And yet, through it all, you can still stand there and be a proponent and apologist for something as obviously WRONG as "Affirmative Action" (reverse-discrimination)! I cannot account for this discrepancy in educated people, except to ponder whether or not your brain chemistry is perhaps quite different from the rest of us....

You know what 'fair' is... and, presumably, you also know what the opposite of 'fair' is. Truly, you represent a complete paradox....

So you're saying that people are breaking discrimination laws? Or are you just moaning about the private thoughts of others?

Women do not want men having any say in or responsibility for what happens to their bodies? Cool, we agree. It's ENTIRELY on the woman if she ends up pregnant when she doesn't want a baby. 100% her fault, and her failure.

Now I'm guilty of "victim envy"?? As if I am jealous that I am not considered a victim??

Okay, I'll play along... since I got such a slow start in life - disadvantaged, homeless... how much $$$ do you owe me for reparations?? Fair is fair, right?? Equality of outcome, right??

Again, you are an advocate for lawless government. You obviously have no idea what the consequences of that are.

Reverse discrimination would be being denied access to things that women and minorities have ..reverse discrimination would be denied admission to the top networking colleges because of your race and gender. Reverse discrimination would be denying you a position on the trading floor. Reverse discrimination would be denying you a seat in the front of the bus. You aren’t being denied anything, you’re just pissed that you have to share the pie. We have had white male affirmative-action for centuries

if you were homeless the government would’ve happily helped you.. My husband came from the worst poverty that I have ever seen but at least he acknowledges that his race and gender gave him opportunities. Why would I think you deserve reparations? What were you denied because of your race and gender
You have no idea what you’re talking about when you say I advocate for lawless government. But then again there’s that extremism on the right
