What Journal News did was simply wrong. Not only did they compile a list of law abiding citizens and display their information as if they're like pedophiles, but they've also jeopardized the safety of many people.

I'm not see'ng the big deal .... when a mass-murderer wants to embark on the execution of women & children ... he can get his extended-mag 9mm and AR-15 with drums anywhere ...

Thanks to arms-dealers who enjoy thier profit-by-death-gun-sales to the civilian-underworld ... thanks to the lobby of NRA 2nd admendment *remedies*

Compiling/publishing the names and addresses of legal handgun owners does what in preventing this sort of thing?

Well, let's see if we can explain it to you. Perhaps the big quote obscured a few points:

Get it now? This confederacy of dunces not only put the gun-owners at risk, now they put the people who DON'T own guns in danger of being robbed as well. NOW do you see the big deal?

There's also this bit of irony:

These same crusaders have resorted to having their guards armed! Will wonders never cease! These people who are against guns are suddenly FOR them when their OWN safety is concerned! It's almost like these bozos in the press are hypocrites or something.

It would be like going after Obama and his cabinet in attempting to accomplish something after 4 people died ... or neocon wackos faked-outrage ....

Here, we have the aftermath of a mass-execution of women and children that has sent conservatism into babbling insanity ... and it should, Lanza executed his own gun-safe mom so he could then use the NRA/Tea Party symbol of Liberty & Freedom in taking the country back ... the extended-mag AR-15 ... to execute women & children ....

Just like Holmes did before this one ... and you'll still be crying because you've been named publically as a gun-owner after the next mass-execution ...

And there's nothing you can do about it pal.

Whether legal or not, this was an invasion of privacy, and the newspaper deserves all the push back they are now receiving.

I have absolutely no problem with being named publicly as a gun owner. My problem isn't with that part. My problem is with the fact that since everyone knows who has guns they also know who doesn't have guns. It puts those without guns in a greater danger than they were before when nobody quite knew what everyone had.

    Absolutely senseless post...again.

When are you going to have a senseless rant against AAA for all the auto fatalities?

Please cite the NRA selling a gun to anyone.

Way to completely ignore the glaring irresponsibility of the Leftninny Media, and its WAR on the Law-Abiding.

Oh ... it's true ... I'm laughing at NRA/Tea Party winggunnuts ... as they continue to froth in hate & death how they're gonna take the country back with small-arms-(fire) locked in the gun-cabinet ...

Mass-murderers are actually doing it ... and although it's rare to catch one alive and where zero have coughed-up a motive ... they've left you (up)holding the *God, Guns & NRA* conservative manifesto ...

    Capish ?

(*)(*)(*)(*) near all, if not all, spree-shooters didn't break into someones house to steal their guns to use for their spree-killing.

The most recent case being firearms the kid got from his own house.

And their free ability to aquire firearms has everything to do with the unregulated, unrestricted (according to the most basic understanding of gun-control the rest of the civilised world has) access to firearms that exists in your nation. Due directly to a huge part of the NRA's political lobbying.

Once you can explain what secret, special genetic trait "Americans" hold in their DNA that prohibits every other gun-control and regulation the rest of the civilised world has from working, when those same laws work there, then you can dismiss gun-control. So you can either accept gun-control or until then you can accept the responsibility your actions, political lobbying and votes have done to cause so many killers to kill so easily.

    Ridiculous. These are public records.

And, BTW, are certainly available ANYTIME to anyone for $50 who wanted a mailing list of registered gun owners in particular zip codes. That would include the mailing labels.

    No.

If you had bothered to read the article, this publication ENHANCED the gun owner's safety, according to the retired burglars. The gun owners are lucky the newspaper didn't charge them a fee!

Gee, if YOU are right, the newspaper will be able to sue all the other news outlets for publicizing that this newspaper has guns! The criminals will FLOCK to the newspaper to steal them!

The point the ex-burglers were trying to make, is that a list of unarmed homes is beneficial to anyone who's in the business of robbing homes.

Apparently so. I think that a hatred of firearms outweighs rational thought for some, though. In other words, anything anti-gun is a good thing for those folks... whether it makes sense or not.

You couldn't have explained it any more clearer and even the ex-criminals said what the newspaper has done is reprehensible... but exotix lives in a different world - all this will just float over her empty head...

She doesn't care about unarmed families w/children have been put in danger... but the newspaper staff now has armed guards protecting them. Those people are absolutely beneath contempt. They couldn't get any lower.....
