Hahaha, oh dear. Not true? I'm sorry, simply repeating that already refuted idiocy isn't giving you an argument.

    Michael Mcledon: Owned his firearms
    James Holmes: Owned his firearms
    Howard Unruh: Owned his firearms
    Nidal Malik: His own firearms
Jiverly Wong: Owned his firearms and bullet proof vest
Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold: Bought from friends (one of those friends got them at a gun show)
    Patrick Sherrill: Owned his firearms
Charles Whitman: Owned his firearms (one he bought from a freakin' hardware store)
    James Huberty: Owned his firearms
    George Hennard: Owned his firearms
    Seung-Hui Cho: Owned his firearms

Oh, let's not forget the Sandy Hook shooting. In which the killer took the firearms from his own (*)(*)(*)(*) home.

Try again? This time I suggest you educate yourself first.

    Yes.

If YOU had bothered to read the article, you would have seen THIS

but far, far worse is THIS (which by the way, I was pointing out to Exotix and she has yet to rebut)

Wow. This collection of Einsteins just potentially put those innocent, NON-gun owners at risk. You know, the people they're supposed to be for?

With friends like them, who needs enemies!

Especially when one has created REAL THREATS to innocent people. It will COST THEM PLENTY, before it's all said and done, becasue their intent was CLEARLY MALICIOUS.

    Can you say "lawsuit(s)"? $$$$$$

This is the best you can come up w/knowing this newspaper staff has deliberately put families who are armed and UNarmed in danger by publishing where they live, while the boss & staff has armed security to protect themselves? What's wrong with you?

As I recall it was the looney libs that first stood on those dead bodies to pass their gun-grabbing power agenda. In doing so they sentenced those children to death in a 'gun-free' zone where there was no armed adult to protect them. Truly shameful.

But don't expect any one of them to shoulder any responsibility...Oh no....It's everyone else's fault according to them. Oh yeah...And don't expect their vaunted leaders to actually abide by their own legislation either.

But HEY you libs out there....Don't look!!...And...Don't even THINK about getting your grubbly little hands on something like that. No..That ain't for YOU....No No...YOU need to hand in ALL your guns....

The interesting thing about the First Amendment is that it doesn't absolve the person using it from the responsibility of their actions if they MIS-use it. So, let's say that a NON-gun owner in the general area gets robbed tonight. Based on this article, you may well see the victim suing the paper because it possibly pointed said robbers to a house that can more easily be robbed. Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if a class-action lawsuit is filed by these victims if there's a number of them.

As a wise man once said, "With great power, comes great responsibility!" I think I read it in a comic book somewhere.

If I were a non gun owner I wouldn't even wait until something happens. I would be trying to sue the crap out of the newspaper now for this.

Yeah, a part of me always smiles inside when plans backfire on people.

Just like I know right now there are liberal politicians banging their heads against the wall yelling "oh why the hell didn't we make ALL gun registration mandatory!? 200 million unregistered guns that we can't take no matter what law we pass.. ****!!!!! The citizens outsmarted us again! "

The left's hysterical calls for gun bans after these tragedies are becoming so predictable, mass shootings are like insider trading in the gun biz.

Yeah, the AR-15 sold like wildfire all over the country last month because the citizens just knew that their liberal government was going to try and take them off of the shelves.

So hey libs here's a little secret. If you really want to ban assault rifles then STOP TALKING ABOUT IT SO MUCH. You are hurting your own cause because the more you cry to ban these weapons the faster they fly off the shelves because people are buying them in record numbers just in case you might actually succeed.

    Counterproductive isn't it?

Robbers know which houses where they have no fear of getting shot while robbing.

Actually, I'm just someone who's seen lawsuits filed and won over just about anything. And this potential lawsuit has a case.

Now would be the time for anyone on that list to seek legal counsel. Tell them of your mental anguish, and how you've been unable to sleep...startled at every rustle in the bushes since this list was published and you were made a target.

In todays America, your bag of gold is waiting, and someone would take the case for sure.

What an incredibly stupid action to take by this newspaper. I would like to see an interactive map of shootings, with legally owned firearms in these two NY counties.

A snippet from a retired detective.

"As a detective assigned to Harlem for several years I was assigned to and assisted with numerous shooting and homicide investigations. The NYPD Precinct where I worked averaged over 60 homicides per year alone in 1993 and 1994 and over 90 percent were committed with illegal firearms. The other few percent were by other means-strangulation, knife, etc. I can state, without a doubt, that not one of those shootings or murders was committed by a legally registered handgun owner. However, there were exceptions, there were police officers who shot suspects brandishing illegal weapons. I see that Rockland and Westchester, where there are many, many, legal firearm permit holders with legal weapons, have astonishingly low shooting and homicide rates as opposed to NYC where almost no one is granted a pistol permit? I wonder why?
Mysteriously, these statistics are surprisingly left out of the whole equation. How come those facts are not printed? I can tell you why. They are facts and cannot be altered or twisted and don’t serve the purpose of the Journal News. The deranged and possibly mentally ill people behind the recent shootings that have tragically killed numerous men, women, and children are horrific to say the least but, these killers would find a way to kill somehow even if it wasn’t with a firearm that they stole or acquired illegally."
