Is it? Perhaps you can actually find the citation that supports your claim. For example, if "anything that moves" are all enemy soldiers, is it really illegal? Are they armed? You seem to want to claim authority here, and yet you cannot even articulate the conditions where your claim might be agreeable in the law. As a debate tactic, having demonstrated that you clearly do not know either the US law or international conventions, perhaps you should refrain from being indignant when someone asks you to provide a citation. The only credibility you're losing is your own.

Again, asserted without substance. You might want to believe this, but it doesn't make it authoritative. Why do you have a hard on for this guy?

Hmmm... I doubt you really put much thought into this position. I doubt you could point to, or cite a specific claim of this by Hunter. And because you're simply associating your own projection here, it fails.

No, I was listing the various allegations against the soldier Hunter is defending, as reported in the OP article.

Then how is Hunter defending those specific acts? If they are, as you say, allegations, they aren't actually points of legal fact yet, are they? So what is he supporting again?

He apparently doesn’t care what crimes a US service person commits in the field, he will defend them regardless. He’s perfectly entitled to take that position but we’re all perfectly entitled to criticise him for it.

The insurgents didnt wear uniforms because they weren't part of a national army. Fail.

During war time being in the military is probably the safest place to be.

There are always more civilians killed than soldiers during a war.

Just crunch the numbers of civilians caught in the cross fire during WW ll. Korea, Vietnam and Iraq.

When you look at all wars during the 20th Century and into the 21st Century it's around 11 civilians killed for every soldier killed.

The US military knowingly killed civilians on purpose. You're reaching to excuse atrocities. That is what you're doing.

If theyre terrorists and you shoot them, you get to live.
If theyre terrorists and you dont shoot them, you die.

You have 1 second or youre dead, choose.

    How do you know that?

"I was an artillery officer and we fired hundreds of rounds into Fallujah, killed probably hundreds of civilians… Probably killed women and children if there were any left in the city when we invaded. So do I get judged too?" is very likely talking about collateral damage.

Or do you think there were no insurgents being shelled in Fallujah?

As Smedley Butler, Major General USMC pointed out decades ago, they fought for American banks and corporations, special interests.
