Then it is a matter of cult-like behavior for individuals to actually have pride in their elected officials? One should instead be ashamed of their elected officials? Or does such apply only depending upon who is in office at the time?

 

If I have pride in an elected official, it is because they deserve to be proud of, not because they are an elected official. Does Trump deserve to be proud of? If you go to pretty much ANY other country and tell them that you are proud of Trump being your president, they'll probably LTAO.

What has any recent president of the united states done to deserve others being proud of them? Go back as far as Ronald Reagan and show what any of them have done that would warrant a sense of pride in their supporters.

Agree on boaters, I'm active in the boating and jet ski community for a couple decades now, 90% gop from what I can to see, and quite vocal about it.
