There's no reason to get excited. I am not talking about your friends specifically.

I haven't been to any frat parties, but between the pics that surface from them online and the stereotypes presented in certain movies, I can imagine how it goes.

Do soldiers get drunk very often? I expect that alcohol and a general lack of responsibility help colleges top the military in sexual assaults.

Well, I was a grunt and we got drunk all the time, but grunts do not live with women, and with good reason.

But you must understand something, the young military members are supervised by staff NCOs and officers. College kids aren't supervised by anyone, really.

Well see, you personally I would never suspect would be a violent psycho. Actually now that I think about it, I would think *I* was a violent psycho if someone acted like me, but I wouldn't want to physically hurt anyone if I were 100% guaranteed absolute impunity with it, because I still have empathy for/conscience about people even though I should not.

I wasn't offended by anything. I just like to scream (*)(*)(*)(*) on internet forums after a day of beating (*)(*)(*)(*) up with a hammer, because that tends to raise my adrenaline levels. :D

You shouldn't make blanket assumptions about the military. There are a lot of good people there. One of my friends who was a sniper is now an anarchocapitalist. Funny, right?

Sorry, but the title of your thread is pitiful since no one deifies the military. Deifying is what ntiwit liberals do with President Obama. Even you should be able to see the difference. Obama gives some people tingly legs. The military doesn't. See, different.

Those who hate the military often come up with statistics that are nonsense. You claim that "19,000 of these incidents occur yearly, according to our Secretary of Defense." That's a lie. If you read the propoganda piece you cited you'll learn the Secretary of Defense "believes" there could be 19,000 a year. Do yu understand the difference between "there are" and "he believes". Some people believe angels sit on their shoulder and protect them but that doesn't make it so. Some people believe that domestic violence cases peak during the Super Bowl but that has been shown to be bogus. Some people believe President Obama and his administration care about the U.S.A.

This nonsense will also be shown as bogus but not before all irresponsible liberals trot it out and shed crocodile tears.

He might be ideologically an anarcho-capitalist, but it's hard to really predict what all would happen if this nation let alone the entire world went anarhocapitalist. The results wouldn't necessarily benefit him personally.

My point is that the military is not full of violent psychos but regular people. Blanket assumptions about them are unwarranted.

lol I don't think the military has many violent psychos/cruel people/aggressive people in it, I'm just bipolar and a little nuts. If I weren't bipolar and were psychologically normal I wouldn't even waste time with this (*)(*)(*)(*). If I had a car currently and gas weren't so high then..I wouldn't be here either. I'd be in prison :D j/k but yeah.

85% of ALL rapes don't get reported and VERY few rapist get prosecuted. Not just in the military, but across the board in all walks of life; in all professions, schools and churches. Presenting the facts as if the military has higher incidences is dishonest.

Maybe he was raped by his room mate?

That would explain his sunny disposition...

I'm glad you were able to make a point based on 'facts' rather than your subjective assumptions...

I see that many Pushtuns like raping little boys. All Muslims must love raping little boys... They just have that personality type that I know for a fact is related to boy raping. I am glad that I am able to look at someone performing some type of random behavior and gauge his or her personality. Without that ability, this post wouldn't be a blatant fact...

Post your drivel somewhere else. Keep it out of my military, especially when you have no clue about what you are speaking.

If I report a rape to the police at a "liberal campus," the police are obligated to investigate it. If I report a rape in the military, the command hides it and investigates ME for rocking the boat. Do you see the difference? Probably not.

You are just making unfounded generalizations based upon anecdotal evidence and unsubstantiated statistics.

And why don't you try explaining why women in college are nineteen times more likely to be the victim of a sexual assault than women in the military? Don't you find that disturbing? Doesn't that undermine your whole ridiculous and hyperbolic premise?

Ah, so you can't refute the point? Fair enough, just say so. And no, it doesn't undermine my argument for the reason provided above.

I'm on the right, farther than most on this site.

The United States armed forces is the largest, most successful terrorist organization in the world.

Of course many sins will exist within the ranks.

True conservatives do not like institutionalized force of *any* sort, not just social programs and education. Even if social programs and education in this country have become so inefficient as to justify the conclusion that these programs are well-meaning idiocy.

Nicotine yes, weed no. You're just totally ignorant about the effects it has on you. Go read some scientific artificles on the positive effects that cannabis has been proven to generally have on people. I'm sure you'll also find some negative effects, but the difference is that tobacco is PURELY negative and very much more destructive than any negative side effect that weed has. Same with alcohol.
