Germany starts to lay the first pipes for Nordstream 2 pipeline to Russia

Germany buys Russian gas since the 1970's and the only disruption in delivering came due to Ukranian gas theft and the two Baltic Sea pipelines make the German energy import more safe. We receive less than 25% of our energy imports from Russia and in the case of an energy boycott from Russia Germany has a storage which will last for four month. In this time Germany would be able to react and lower gas consumption significant and reactivate some old coal plants which are out of use but still maintained and can be productive in 10 days again (Kaltreserve - cold reserve).

A Russian energy boycott would harm Germany and Russia both. Short-term Germany would be in some trouble but the negative long-term consequences for Russia would be significant.

American LNG costs 3.3 cent per cubic meter. Russian gas 1.8 cent for cubic meter. That says evrything.

What Trump wants is hegemony and he wants to act like a tyrant over other nations. Did he expect Germany or EU in general will follow as he ordered?

We have made the experience, that president trump has a very low intellectual capacity. For example he asked Chancellor Merkel again and again that he wants a lucrative trade deal with Germany and she repeatedly told him, he cant have that, only with entire EU.

You believe germans buy american cars if tariffs are lowered? You get crooked. Our own car producers want tariffs at zero. Because then we sell more cars in usa. But you wont sell a single more car in germany, simply because your cars dont match what germans want. Same reason why walmart went bancrupt here within 3 years. I am afraid a minority of americans have bought into this McCarthyism, the Putin/Russia hysteria, as all all compromised intellects tend to do. Shame is, we don't have a marketable "smart pill" to fix the compromised intellects in america.
