I disagree sort of... The folks who agree with Bundy don't want to admit he started this by making terroristic threats. BLM had no choice to show up with some force. Then when the crazy militia folks showed up it for even more tense.

Read your other thread that you started (as I correctly predicted that you would) and my comment over there. You are failing left and right on yet another day, which is another easy prediction to make of you.

 

Perhaps you could post these threats. If Bundy did make these threats it would certainly lend more credence to Glen Beck's charge that Bundy is unhinged. Not sure how what you've stated would be contrary to my post.

 

My point was people supporting Bundy agree he broke the law. They just think the reaction from BLM was too much, all the whole forgetting Bundy was calling for a "range war" over his cattle. BLM really had no choice to show up in a matter that they did.

I wouldn't be surprised to the idea that the folks calling the shots on this knew that this kind footage of was just a matter of time and would sink Bundy. BLM just had to sit back and wait. Now that Fox folks are distancing themselves the guy is going to look even more like a loony tune.

But I think he appears to be one of the few Right wingers That does not turn a blind eye To what is right and what is wrong

Yes, with the exception of a couple anarchists. And most are not actually supporting Bundy at all, but disagreeing with how the government is handling the situation. I personally feel the feds owning 85% of Nevada is excessive.

Well the video I saw I'm not sure what the feds goal was. They showed up, used dogs and tazers to push the people back and then took off. It didn't look like they accomplished anything

Since Bundy refuses to pay the grazing fees and his number of cattle excedes the pre-determined number then the feds have every right to remove cattle from the property. And to accomplish this they should certainly be prepared to defend themselves. Bundy's comments reinforce the feds need for significant protection although I don't know if this requires them to directly confront the Bundy cult that currently is on the premises.

 

Perhaps you don't listen to enough right-wingers as most won't turn a blind eye to what they believe is wrong. For example during GWB's tenure conservatives shredded Harriet Mier's appointment to the Supreme Court because she lacked the legal credentials for the position. On the left there are a few who will call Obama to task when he violates their principles, but their numbers seem much more sparse.

 

Is Bundy a racist asshat?

What does that have do to with the Federal Government:

Showing up with guns to collect a fine for grazing cattle?
Spending $6-7 Million to collect a $200,000 fine?
Having guys with guns, attack dogs, etc.... at the BLM?
Having the head Democrat of the state call those that support stopping government authoritarianism "terrorists"?
Owning over 84% of Nevada?
Killing many of Bundy's herd?

Good for Sean. Of course I am not seeing any quotes of Sean changing his positions in any way on this issue, so I'm not sure how you can claim they lost him.

 

I have never supported Bundy, Gorn. My first opinion of Bundy still holds true today, that he should have simply paid the damned grazing fees and pleaded his case in court like any other sane American would do. However, the BLM armed forces handled this situation equally as idiotic, if not moreso, because now most of the country is pissed off at yet another fine example of government overreach.

Bundy's racial remarks have absolutely no bearing on the fact that the U.S. government screwed this pooch's brains out.

I'm not sure how well the Bundy case proves your point as I haven't seen any dishonesty pointed out and it appears there is a pretty loud and unanimous voice from conservative commentators condemning the racial comments from the unhinged Bundy.

They will all have their bias, just as you have your bias. Michael Savage is not a program I care to listen to, but he is down-right vicious towards any politician he disagrees with, and it seems it is GOPs as often as it is Dems that he is hurling his venom towards. Michael Medvid, whom I enjoy, comes across as very honest and respectful and does a good job of supporting any position he takes with corresponding data. I have not herd either mention this issue however.
