Using logical deduction to ascertain the thoughts and actions, through the lens of context, of a fictional character is not "mocking" him. It is no different than deducing how Frodo might react to a sexual advance from Samwise. Although the book never comes out and says it, their was a strong connecting between the two that may or may not have been sexual in nature. God has a low opinion of women.
A person can say "if God was real, he is a complete dick for the senseless murder, rape, and genocide carried out on his orders". This doesn't mean that the person believes in God, or that he accredits true events to him. It is simply drawing attention to the utter insanity of a character, whether he be real or fake. Learn to think better. Lol.
So God is contingent upon natural laws? This admission totally destroys God. I can't wait to get home and elaborate.
No 'supernatural laws' which govern the 'physics' of the supernatural world. Such as how gravity affects people in the natural world.
God is capable of doing everything that you are doing, therefore he is omnipotent - there's nothing that human can do, that God can't do - however there are 'natural laws' of the supernatural world that govern God's behavior.
God gave us free will, he does intend rape, nor does He intend the stoning of women etc. God permits certain things to happen, He permits us to use our will. He wants us to choose good, but not because we have to but because we want to. It saddens God when evil is done though He permits it, He does not want to force us to love Him or each other He wants us to make that decision ourselves. It is quite obvious that some reject God, God permits this though is displeased by it.
God can do anything if He chooses, He chooses to permit us to use our will. When He feels if He feels He should intervene and punish the wicked and guilty He will. First of all God wants us to use our will and see if we choose His way or reject Him.
I also believe God does make His intentions known to us through the Church, which was established by Him.
"was" is a past tense term... "if" is a question showing uncertainty... Therefore, it indicates that the person making such a statement as you have suggested, is a complete idiot for making a suggestive claim in which he/she has no evidence to support such a claim. Learn to think better.
You demanded a response to the question. I gave you an honest response to the question. As for intellectual capabilities. you really should take note of your own shortcomings in that area.... Don't worry about others until such time as you have proven yourself capable of adequately answering questions that are directed at you. For a recap: "It is in my opinion called 'turn about'. Ya know.... turn about is fair play. If the atheists and other non-theists desire to mock God then I reserve the right to mock the mockers. If you can't handle the heat in the kitchen, then get out of the kitchen. If you don't like being placed in a proper category along with other things that God allows, then remove yourself from that/those category/ies." What is there to sustain... Opening comment.... "It is my opinion...".... get the point? You non-theists do it all the time... submitting nothing more than opinion....
Did you guys know that rape and rapture are basically the same word? For thousands of years females have been booty. Some societies start marriage with a kidnapping and rape. "And if a man sell his daughter to be a maidservant, she shall not go out as the menservants do." (Exodus 21:7) She is a slave for life. What do you think her master is likely to do with her? "therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him. But all the women children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves." (Numbers 31:17-18 ) What do you think eventually happened to all those young girls? The places where rape is condemned are when someone violates her as someone else's property. The crime is against her owner/husband/betrothed.
That isn't what SpaceCricket said. He said that God is bound by natural laws. The premise of Omnipotence of all powerful. If an entity is bound by laws outside of it's control, it is not all powerful. It is not Omnipotent. The theistic model of God is Omnipotent.
There are multiple definitions of omnipotence. From a human perspective, God would be omnipotent since there is nothing within their own physical realm that they could do, which God could not. However there obviously would be laws and 'physics' of the supernatural world which would govern the behavior of supernatural entities. For example, God could not kill himself - because if the Bible is God's Word, then for him to do so would contradict the Bible. - therefore his omnipotence would not include the power to kill himself.
Well, it seems that if you choose that way to look at things, there is an even better evidence that he would allow ugly people to exist. . .he allows fundamental Christians and hyper-religious zombies to dirty HIS/HER/ITS name by imposing the image of a punitive, nasty old man that decides that some people should suffer any evil in order to procreate an unwanted child! The God I believe in has no respect for people who diminish his/her creation by their man made dogmas.
That's where you make your huge mistake! The CHURCH (every Church, every religion) was created and established by MEN to facilitate their greed for power over other human beings, especially women and people who don't look or think like them. God is far above Churches and religions.
Did you also forget how to read? It was located right above the section of text that I highlighted in red letter. "Well, it seems that if you choose that way to look at things, there is an even better evidence that he would allow ugly people to exist. . .he allows fundamental Christians and hyper-religious zombies to dirty HIS/HER/ITS name by imposing the image of a punitive, nasty old man that decides that some people should suffer any evil in order to procreate an unwanted child!"
