Google confirms it notifies children if parents are monitoring their accounts

So is the school requiring a google account or is it the parents choice of email or link to home schooling? Far I see from a friend, the apps on the laptops are google specific ¯\_(º¸º)_/¯

It's not googles problem. If the school is requiring it then petition the board to get it changed but you have no expectation that you can dictate to private company how they run their business.

Because it's their product. If you don't like it, don't use it especially if you aren't paying a cent for the service.

 

It's a sting operation. They want to catch their kids in the act like common drug dealers.

Talk to the school. If you feel that strongly about it, enroll them in a different school that does not use their interface. Google should not be forced to change their business model because 1 parent has a problem with it.

 

Um yes, yes they are! But that's an entirely different conversation altogether.. And it's not just children's minds they are programming, our soft minded adults are being manipulated by them also..

 

You and I both know that will not change the program.. The schools already dictate what format you will use to interface with them! And that friend I mentioned, well he tried to buck the system, said he could not afford internet and was promptly warned that DFS would be informed if he failed to have his children connected and attending classes, no excuses

 

So this idea about notifying the children their parents are monitoring their activity has nothing to do with indoctrinating them, and your disgust for google stems from other issues.

Would it make you feel better if google removed the parental controls and not have this issue at all?

 

Then enroll them in another school. If you have a child who is being taught left wing crap at their school, are you just going to just complain about it or actually do something about it?

So i guess you would just complain about it and yell about how google has a moral obligation to you as a parent? google is doing you a favor by allowing you access to this feature, but you want complete autonomy in a product you don't pay for so you can monitor your child's activity covertly. Maybe big government should step into our lives.

 

Clearly this is far to much for you Your approach to this "Google" and school compliant is to narrow to have an intelligent discussion about the subject. Hell you are clearly having an issue processing the fact that schools are the ones forcing the use of Google simply because that's the interface "THEY" are setup to message the parent with.. In fact, the county, city and state jails/holding facilities are also specific, and it's your responsibility to use the same interface's they use too.. It's not about using something different but more of a compliant thing, and there you are already uninformed. So how do we move forward when you are so behind the curve on the most basic internet protocol's

 

You seem to have zero clue about how to approach an issue where a child is going to a school a parent does not like. How can we even begin to discuss solutions to this issue if you cannot understand the most basic of concepts. If the counties are forcing children to use google, shouldn't your issue be with the county and not google? Seems absurd you want to attack a third party who is not forcing you to use their product but okay. In my district, the school gives you a laptop preloaded with the google programs needed to do on-line learning. Theres no chrome or anything to search the internet for bad things like liberal news lol.

 

I've never had a child, but if I did I'd clearly be more informed then you are.. For starters, "well sort of anyway", the bolded pretty much put's you squarely in the lap of what I have already discovered about you.. You seem to be grasping for some relevancy but missing the big picture every time! It's clearly not the children being forced to do anything, it's the parents that must provide and the schools/education and government facilities that are providing a platform that everyone must be compliant with

As I said in another post, Google has it's own issue's and bias concerns beyond intervening/interfering with the family unit, which this thread clearly demonstrates.. Maybe take a day or two and absorb enough pertinent information to at least look as if you know what's-what

 

If you have kids, the time will come when they will be out with friends and face temptation. Informing them they are being watched will never allow parents to determine their level of judgement when they are not being watched.

Do you have kids? If so, is the ability to trust them important?
