It's difficult to debate a topic when the facts don't support your position, isn't it? I'll be here. If the law stays in place, and gun crime has not FALLEN in Georgia, I will post a video of me burning my CCW permit and NRA branded Toaster Coozie.
Rick Scott, please! And I just ate breakfast too. You mean the guy who purged legitimate voters? You mean the guy who oversaw the largest medicare fraud in U.S. history? You are right. I can't tell which one is worse. Deal or Scott. I believe they are two peas competing to see who can be more extreme. People are waking up, but the problem is the money. These voter suppression laws that are being pushed by corrupt and wacky governors can have a devastating impact on voters if the justice department doesn't step in and keep these crazies in line.
They lose in the court tests fairly often but even that is at the cost of citizens in their states. I don't know what you saw in the last elections but here in Florida we rebelled in early voting against the tampering by standing in long lines for hours. Most were furious with their vote capability being tampered with. If anyone thinks a lesson was learned by Scott, think again as his reaction was to close public bathrooms for the next election. LOL I'm not kidding either. Next time we vote the available bathrooms will be closed to the public. Arghh This would be funny if it were not so real.
lol That is cute. Well, if my statements are made up, then they should be easy to debunk. LOL Example: Claim: The Bible is the inerrant word of God! Rebuttal: 420+ contradictions, scientific inaccuracies, etc. Should be pretty easy. But you can continue to evade if you like.
I love how you conveniently left out the entire quote of mine. I'll help you out with that. I said "you're making excuses to carry guns in bars". There's a big difference in what I quoted and how you inaccurately quoted me. And apparently it is not every American citizens right to go into a bar and drink carrying weapons. Nothing in the constitution says that. Which is the topic of conversation. So, since I do not understand this according to you, what sense would it be to walk into a bar carrying a gun for the purpose of drinking to begin with, if it is illegal to drink and carry a weapon? And what happens to the gun when the gun owner leaves the bar? Does the bar owner give the gun owner his or her gun back? If they do, that wouldn't make sense either. There are a lot of questions you folks would assume not answer. And the evidence of that has been with this thread.
This is happening in Georgia. I don't live in Georgia, so it doesn't affect me. If the action is legal, what is the problem? Time will tell if the policy is wrong, and it will change. That is the American way. Gun free zones like Chicago don't seem to end violence. There are surveys showing more privately owned guns are associated with lower gun violence.
No, not because I say so. I suggest actually reading the laws before pretending to be an authority on the subject. I have had CCW for four years now, and just took a voluntary refresher last Friday/Saturday (didn't really need to do the shooting portion, but did). If you are going to drink, you do not carry a gun. If you are to carry a gun, you do not drink. Pretty straight forward.
I know, I've been watching about that on the news. That is true voter fraud right there. ID doesn't come close to that scam of Scott when it comes to the bathrooms.
They operate on the presumption of guilt. When in fact, people are not to have their rights suspended without due process. The rhetoric is the essence of ignorance and stupidity: We can't have guns in X, because someone will bring a gun in and start shooting!!!111111 Completely ignoring the fact, that people already bring guns into gun free zones and start shooting. So, why not instead of giving the monopoly of force to the killer, you allow law abiding people to even the odds if they so choose?
In my state (NC) it is illegal to possess a firearm while you are drinking, or after you have been drinking. You may not have ANY measurable BAC while carrying your weapon. If I intend to drink, I do not carry my firearm. If I find myself in a situation where I have my firearm, and want to begin drinking, I will not drink. Lawful CCW holders willfully and happily abide by the laws. The fact is, not many CCW holders will have any reason or desire to enter a bar at all with their weapon.
Maybe voters need to bring porta-potties! LOL Did you know what this is all about? The early voters here are usually Democrats because they have jobs. If this great toilet caper doesn't work I suspect he will narrow early voting down to one weekday during work hours. Haha
due process is a thing of the past. at best it applies only where the state decides it should. this is the natural outcome of statist ideology. if our rights are provided to us by the state, then the state has the power to curtail those rights for any or no reason at all.
A person is possession of a firearm cannot consume any alcohol. The law reads "impaired to any degree". Not a single shot. Not a beer. Not a single drink. If they do so, they loose their CCW permit. Intransigence need not apply. I am citing law, that is written in black and white and is very clear. If you feel the position is too extreme, take it up with the State of Colorado. Please, continue denying reality to make your own lack of knowledge more acceptable.
Next thing you know the polling booths will be located on islands where they will have to swim with their porta-potties. Lol! The whole thing is a joke and an embarrassment for the right to vote.
I wish I could give you a thanks but I can't find the darn function anywhere and I have wanted to do that on your posts about a dozen times! Just know I died laughing. I promise you I'd be mad enough to swim to vote! LOL
Thanks! I'm computer illiterate so not to worry about all that. Keep up your great posting. I enjoy everyone.
Great, so why allow it to begin with is my question? The actual idea of having one in a bar is crazy.
The fear that law-abiding people will carry them into bars and drink is irrational. Writing laws to restrict law-abiding people from doing something they have no desire or reason to do is crazy. Let the establishment owner decide, and the buying public can vote with their feet.
