Briefly. The State of Israel was the result of Zionist pressure in the late 19th and early 20th century, which led to the League of Nations declaring that the Jews should have there own state. With the fall of the Ottoman Empire Britain and France were given a Mandate to rule Palestine. The British continued to play their part - the French dropped out - until 1948, when the State was declared.
Zionists have always been involved. If you read the history of Palestine, Zionists were buying up productive land from Arabs who were willing to sell, and then sometimes stay on as managers, at advantageous prices during the early to middle 20th century. Therefore the Zionists actually owned parts of the State of Israel they were given.
Israel actually gave the Arabs cement to build their kindergartens and schools. The Arabs used it for lining their tunnels.

Firing rockets from inside cities is criminal. Firing shells into cities is criminal. If the rockets were fired from outside the cities there would be no reason to fire into cities. Casualties would be military. But then the human race is genocidal.

 

Put it this way, I point out a Hamas military success - you complain that this means more Palestinians will die.

Therefore if you were straightforward and honest, then if I pointed out an Israeli military success - being honest you would then complain that this means more Israelis will die.

Israel has painted Hamas as an implacable enemy for its own wider strategic aims, this is little to do with Hamas who have already offered Israel a long term truce. The last real truce between Hamas and Israel was held to by Hamas and broken by Israel.

The recent claims of truce and truce breaking are all propaganda by Israel, there hasnt been any truce whatsover.

 

It was Britain who agreed to a nebulous thing called a Jewish Home in Palestine - very much reckoned to have been inspired by antisemitism believing that Jews really did control the world and if they promised this they could get the US into WW1 on Britain's side. A State however was most certainly not promised and the people who were most adverse to Jews being offered a State were British and American Jews.

Also the mandate while also recognising that a Jewish home had been promised, a home which at the time was believe would have only a few thousand people, the madate was for Britain to get the people who were already in Palestine ready to rule themselves. They were considered very nearly ready. Needless to say Britain at the time thought she would hold onto it for quite some time until she found the influx of Jews, their effect on the indigenous people and their actions ungovernable. Then she left, full knowing what would happen to the indigenous people.

This video again does not show human shields but kids, who are known to crowd around the streets, being held in a group back from a rocket launch for their safety.
