Donald Trump recently signed an executive order to withhold federal funds from any facility of learning that abridges the first amendment constitutional rights of students. Perhaps the same should be done to the individual states themselves with regard to their ignoring other constitutional amendments. Perhaps the states of New York, California, and Hawaii for example, should experience and immediate ceasing of all federal funds in response to their firearm-related restrictions.
As opposed to the republicans who are REALLY in favor of open borders , gun smuggling for drugs at the southern boarder, cutting Medicare and social security and against voting rights
And I thought I understated their stances. Supporting watching the planet degrade human life for profit .....wasn’t even mentioned.
In fact many Republican pols support programs and policies 'save the planet'. Almost everything RP/DP pols do is for "profit". "Three months ago, 17 House Republicans introduced a resolution attempting to steer debate away from whether climate change is real, and promising to do something about greenhouse gas emissions. There is also a Climate Solutions Caucus with 34 members, including 17 Republicans ― but that’s not enough to push through any kind of substantial climate change legislation in the House." HUFFINGTON POST, Republicans Who Support Combating Climate Change Urge Trump To Stay In Paris Deal, But a majority remained silent., By Laura Barrón-López.POLITICS 05/31/2017 04:52 pm ET https://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/republicans-climate-change_us_592f1825e4b09ec37c314856
Of course there are reasonable Republicans in the party. But we judge support of science by the actions of institutions, not individuals. This is what true science consensus is about. The GOP and the Republican Party at large has done nothing to separate itself from, voter suppression, climate change denial reasonable firearm regs or affordable healthcare, even though most in their party support it. . Where is AGW even mentioned in their platform ? . Every university, research institute, large corporation and govt in the entire world has stood up for science and officially committed itself to stemming AGW. But not Trump or the GOP. Except for the actions of a few individuals , the GOP is in institutional denial and way too afraid to actually EDUCATE. their own base and counter their donors for fear if losing power and money. They’ve sold the earth’s future for Roe v Wade and the Koch bros. and Fox. The Corporate Dems are only slightly less hypocritical. But at least the party is committed to AGW. It’s sad. Even if the Dems take control in the next election, without the full support of the GOP, it’s still like swimming in mud dealing with AGW,
"This was a year for splashy headlines about retractions, after some much-ballyhooed findings were pulled. Some prominent scientists each retracted multiple papers in 2015. And, of course, the last 12 months saw more and more cases of faked peer review. Here, in no particular order, are our picks for the top 10 retraction stories of 2015." THE SCIENTIST, The Top 10 Retractions of 2015, A look at this year’s most memorable retractions, By Retraction Watch | December 23, 2015. https://www.the-scientist.com/?articles.view/articleNo/44895/title/The-Top-10-Retractions-of-2015/ We live in an era of rampant corrupt Fake Science. The end goal is to disarm the law abiding. Gun bans and other irrational gun control schemes only encourage criminals to posses and carry firearms.
