Don't have the energy to rehash Trump's offensive statements. Trump talks about prosperity but the most he's done so far is not mess up the good economy he inherited. But the world has moved on from well-paying, unskilled manufacturing jobs. If we try to resist it, our standard of living will fall and we will no longer be an economic superpower. Americans need to learn to use the greater opportunities afforded to us to find our new niches in the world economy. The good old days after wwii are just gone, a product of being the only game in town. Robots will increasingly do unskilled manufacturing, and they will be overseen by a smaller number of skilled workers. If you want to preserve the middle class, it's not republicans that are going to help you. Their mantra has been to protect the owners who will pay as little as possible to their workers because that's efficient business.

 

Lol, you don't need free trade to bottom out wages. Who opposes the minimum wage again? If corporations are forced to hire expensive American workers for mindless work outside of the service sector, they will invest in robotics. Time to adapt.

America is okay. I am not a promoter of multiculturalism either, but Trump's approach has been foolish. No need to ban immigration, just take a few of their best to make our economy strong and leave the scraps for the other nations. Don't like poor non-whites living off welfare and having 9 kids? Time to require birth control for welfare. Being perceived to ban muslims and crowing about taking their oil next time? Yeah that's pure idiocy. That's Trump.
