I disagree, hes an awesome communist liar.
Can you define communism and provide specific policy examples making Obama one? you are aware that the current ACA is not the one Obama proposed in that video right?
yes we are, it was the version that we had to pass first in order to see what was in it. It was the one Gruber told us he and Obama concocted lies to tell us about in order to pass it. The obama in the video is the same liar as the obama in the other videos. A failed President. Epic.
How about an original thought? http://www.politicalforum.com/showthread.php?t=410069&page=3&p=1065033851#post1065033851 See response thereto.
You are aware that ObamaCare passed without a single Republican/Conservative vote? Why didn't he get what he wanted?
So instead of passing the one he wanted they passed one that was more expensive than what he wanted making him a liar? I'm good with that, if you are.
Uh, congress NOT passing the bill he wanted doesn't make him a liar, lol - - - Updated - - - So you can't back up your claim. I accept your concession.
You keep posting this BS as if it were true. There is no success, only one big government sucking machine on the American people, all brought on by democrats. What you're saying really tells me how incredibly stupid democrats are, because with the money Americans are spending now, the US government could have taxed less than the premiums are and ended up not looking so stupid. The democrats needed nothing from the republicans, so that dog don't hunt
Sure it does. It's his signature legislation. I guess he didn't take enough Democrats on plane rides?
10 million more people now have health insurance than before. Isn't that at least some "mitigation" to you?
What 50% premium increases? The OP only talks about requests of selected insurers, not actual increases. Totally different things. People always request more than they expect to get. Why did you dodge my question: "10 million more people now have health insurance than before. Isn't that at least some "mitigation" to you?"
It's HIS legislation. He directed it. Pelosi isn't smart enough to bring this up on her own. He was the catalyst.
Again, accessability doesn't equal lower cost. You do realize that health care(and certainly health insurance) is a marketable good right? And what ever is marketable, is usually sold and often at a profit Now, if no one buys it then there's no profit. So usually, price mechanisms range to what's deemed to be an affordable price. However, you Liberals kind of took away that incentive via the ACA. Now that people HAVE to buy it, they have little to no negotiating power. Oh sure, the "government health market" can give you multiple options, but it can't give you the option to opt out. Under such circumstances, profits can be maximized. The only thing the CAP does, is limit the amount of profits. They're going to keep pushing, and pushing. Which this OP stated and ironically: You never denied that they wouldn't push. Because we all know it's true. And want to know why UHC is more expensive across the globe(majorly expensive in the Virginia tried experiment) and would be expensive here? All you're doing is contracting the government, to negotiate prices for the people(the consumers). That's all UHC is. And that's a BIG win for Insurance companies, who can now charge indefinitely since the government can print out X amount of money. The perceived big pockets that Washington has, will be used and capitalized. The necessity OF health insurance means that Washington will buckle. We do not need a bigger Washington, we need a stronger market place. We don't "NEED" Insurance, we need to increase the accessability of insurance. Liberals need to frankly, TRUST the American People to make choices. Not to arrogantly claim that certain plans weren't good enough. Maybe not for YOU, but are you Jane? You're not. You have NO idea what her circumstances are. Maybe Jane can never get pregnant, why should she have a one-size fits all plan for women that includes pregnancy? It only increases costs for Jane, for the State and ironically yes for you, who subsidizes these more expensive plans. Segregate the Market place. Individualize plans, give people the ability to customize their plans the way THEY want to. They know their own conditions better than most, their doctors know their conditions better than most. Not insurance companies, and not Washington. In 2009, Insurance Companies raped Liberals hard and Liberals still can't comprehend they were raped.
This is more right wing FOX hysteric paranoia plain and simple. this thread is dishonest in that it only reports part of the story, typical FOX crap.
As medicare clearly says, they only provide for about 80% of costs. If you don't buy supplemental insurance your costs could be quite high. I have supplemental insurance ($150/mo.). I've had multiple surgeries over the past year and other expensive medical care issues. I've not paid a dime out of my pocket. What are you waiting for? Sounds like you haven't done your homework on how to prevent excessive costs.
Hmm...the ACA was a Dem plan all along. Voters are going to get 'socked' with outrageous premiums. Looks like a Republican win going forward as naive Dem voters are getting 'ripped off' not to mention the Dem lies about the so-called "affordable" aspect of the ACA. A win win for Repubs, don't you think?
And here it is 10 hours later and you've yet to substantiate your claim, despite my best efforts to persuade you. It's ok, we both know why you've been dodging. - - - Updated - - - Presidents don't pass legislation, congress does. Congress not passing the bill he wanted doesn't make HIM a liar.
One "success" that is not very successful while ignoring the overwhelming failures by their own measure. I appreciate that 10's of millions not able to get the health care they once had and their cost skyrocketing is meaningless to you in your desperation to sugar coat Obamacare. Quote where I said they wouldn't no longer be doctors. Wrong, government forces me to spend the part of healthcare budget on its healthcare programs and I am forced into Medicare.
