Thank you. Whether Obama thought the Affordable Care Act was his ideal, best of all possible laws or not is irrelevant. It's the bill he pushed for, bribed and lied his ass off to get. Obama wasn't awarded the Political Lie of the Year for nothing, so I'm not sure what some desperate apologists are trying to accomplish.
Presidents don't pass legislation. Congress does. Congress passing a bill that isn't the one he wanted doesn't make HIM a liar. Nope. Just over zealous. - - - Updated - - - Is there a public option? Huh? Were you asleep for several months when the ACA was being debated, written and rewritten?
Post the fact that Obama was saying his lie when you say he wanted the public option? The lies that come from the liberal loons on this forum I know you can't post it rahl, because it's bull(*)(*)(*)(*), I just wanted everyone on this forum to see it
It sounds like someone has realized what a (*)(*)(*)(*) up Obama Care is and he's trying to immunize Barry by claiming he never wanted the Affordable Care Act anyway. LOL...revisionist desperation at it most absurd.
verbose [ vərˈbōs ] ADJECTIVE using or expressed in more words than are needed: "much academic language is obscure and verbose"
Every state has insurance regulation, and all of them regulate rates. This dance between insurers and regulators on a state level has been going on for years. If you bothered to read the business pages you'd know it. This has been standard practice in the health insurance industry for decades.
Post it rahl, quit stalling, you are looking more ridiculous than you are He told the lie, and most every liberal in America knows it http://www.factcheck.org/2009/08/keep-your-insurance-not-everyone/
The level that liberal loons sink to is amazing. You would think they would have a modicum of self respect, but it is evident that is not true
Well I come from the land of a Public National Health service (apart from maybe Germany that had an attempt at the idea). And the British NHS is in a right expensive mess. It gives jobs to a massive public sector workforce, & brain washes a large section of the population that there is no better option to the issue of public health. Each person spend about £1,500 on health care weather they need it or not, due to enforced taxes. Most of which is spent on Management of the NHS & the public sector workers pensions. The trouble is that now after so many years of public health that to do away with it would take a massive sea change in opinion. Yet we are wasting so much public sector money on this white elephant. All I can wish to the US is that they wake up to the folly of Obama care and do away with this nonsense before it becomes too engrained in the US psyche, as it has done in the Western European Social democratic hell in which we are forced to live.
Wait, liberals like on this forum know better than you, even though they have never had a government ran healthcare system. Liberals will believe anything their masters tell them You are so right, I hope Americans wake up to the mess Obama and the left created here
If your figure of 1500 Pounds is correct, you're getting a real bargain. Health insurance policies in the United States typically cost four times that or more. You never have a deductible or a co pay (you probably don't even know what these things are). You also have no idea what it is like to be told you won't be able to obtain any sort of health insurance at any price because the companies exclude you for having a "pre existing condition". You almost certainly take for granted the fact taht what the National Health does cover is the subject of public discussion and debate. Not so in the US. Insurance companies and employers make those decisions here, and the insured, and the public have little or no say. Most people in the US are not free to choose what insurance they have. You take it for granted that you can walk into your local GP's office, a hospital or a clinic or a dispensing chemist, and not have to pay as much as a farthing or present proof of some ability to pay. - - - Updated - - - OK http://thinkprogress.org/politics/2009/12/22/74682/obama-repeatedly-touted-public/
http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/wonkblog/wp/2013/03/22/whatever-happened-to-the-public-option/ There was no lie. Stop getting spoon fed right wing propaganda.
From your post to Mitch McConnell and John Boehner's eyes........ The goal of Obama and the progressives has always been to get Obama Care instituted, by any means necessary, knowing that once in place (like a burrowing tick) removal of this appropriately termed "white elephant" will become nearly impossible as time goes by. I look forward to the republican debates so people realize that this issue is very much alive and all the multitudinous ways in which Obama Care has been a failure by it's very own standards (the promises made to sell such snake oil are impossible to keep but guys like Jonathan Gruber make good livings not over estimating how discerning the American public really is).
Well, nobody outside Fox world is paying attention to what the conservatives have to say on this topic anymore. They've been so consistantly wrong in their doom and gloom predictions that they've lost credibility. The GOP has pretty much capitulated at this point anyway. Even the president of the health insurance industry's lobbying group just took another job. There will be a lot of rhetoric. But right now, the biggest fear is that the Supreme Court will nullify the Federal subsidies for the ACA. Even now, GOP politicians are rushing to find a way to immediately reinstate them if that happens. The GOP knows that if millions of people see huge premium increases because of a potential SC ruling, that most of the impact will be felt in red states. This issue is over. ACA is the law of the land and it isn't going away.
It doesn't extinguish the lie of the year, along with the fact that he signed the bill, and he pushed that lie all the way until it was signed on March 23, 2010
The article says nothing, he pushed for the healthcare bill that he signed with his "you can keep your plan and doctor" all the way until it was implemented. So stop your lying, you're illuminating your ignorance Enjoy the Obama apology for lying
As they should if Obama Care's own verbiage means anything. Obama Care will crash and burn based on it's own incompetent administering one way or the other. The only question is how much pain will people go through before that happens. Of course they are. I see. "Huge premium increases" like we are now seeing under Obama Care, perhaps? http://www.forbes.com/sites/theapot...miums-by-avg-of-41-subsidies-flow-to-elderly/ Remember the promises of $2,500 per payer savings on health care premiums if we only pass Obama Care? Well in the face of across the board 41% increases in health care premiums the words of leftist apologists have very, very little authority behind them (many would say no authority at all, as a matter of fact). Wow! Allow me to tattoo your assurances on my forehead so I can always remember them. Laugh out loud...
Lol, deluded by propaganda. I just quoted for you the push for the public option, which 3 conservative democrats threatened to philibuster the entire bill if it wasn't removed.
It passed the house and not the senate. Obama signed it and continued his pathetic lie all the way up until in was implemented in 2013, then he apologized for being such a (*)(*)(*)(*)ing pathetic liar - - - Updated - - - What does, Obama wanted the public option, the house passed it, the senate didn't. He pushed his lie all the way through to 2013, and then had to apologize for lying
