Maybe they are all dead. Maybe they don't want to help her. Maybe she is embarrassed to ask them for help. Maybe she could not have children. Who knows? Does it make a difference????

It is (potentially) EVERYBODY'S future (regardless of party affiliation).

Hopefully, in the future, you can contribute something beyond a constant barrage of Liberal Derangement Syndrome.

Thanks in advance. Carry on. :salute:

I am 65 years old. I know what its like to be homeless. Not only does your body suffer...but so does your sense of self. I never thought it would happen to me. I was like some in this thread. Until it happened. Know who helped me out? Other homeless people.

I lived in the homeless Capitol of Texas for a decade. My best friend loved to chat with them when we'd go drinking

99% of them are homeless because of the choices they have made

where was your family why weren't they helping you?
that is why we have such a homeless problem family don't help there own anymore it becomes the governments problem
that is what happens when you have a nanny state people don't feel responsible to help out even their own family
It use to be back in the day it was shameful to allow one of your family members to be homeless

You nuts do not know that hepatitis is a blood borne disease that you get from sharing needles or having sex not by stepping on ****/human waste? You all seems like a fine example of the dumbing down of the nation.

We need more immigrates to hopefully raised the average IQ of this nation.

If that's the case, who cares? As long as citizens have their shots, only the illegals, in your scenario, suffer.

What family? My sister? yeah. right. And I didn't need government help. I needed a place I could afford on my SS. None exist.

You'll see, if it ever happens to you. Never say never.

Now I am done with this thread. I lived it. I dealt with closed minded soulless individuals when it happened and I damn sure won't deal with it now that I pulled myself up WITH THE HELP OF OTHER HOMELESS that showed me HOW.

why wouldn't your sister give you a couch to sleep on
No it wouldn't happen to me because I was raised and so was every one in my family that you don't allow any family members to go homeless you give up at least your couch for them to sleep on and I'm not just talking about immediate family I'm referring to all family and friends

Before I leave, though..I thought I would share this little tidbit. I found it quite fascinating, myself. Plus, it disgusted me no end.

After becoming homeless and living in my car (thank God I had a vehicle), another homeless person I met at McD's parking lot where I got some coffee told me about that days free food pantry and where it was located. I didn't want to go. I was ashamed of my situation, and I didn't really need free food since I was getting my SS check. I just needed an afforable room or apt..which does not exist any more, anywhere.
Anyway..I decided to go and maybe get some rolls or a loaf of bread to keep in my car so I wouldn't have to waste gas if I got hungry. Jar of peanut butter, loaf of bread, bottle of water...I'd be ok. Save my money for that room I kept looking for. So..I went.

Imagine my surprise when I saw people I knew, standing in line. People who living in 500K homes that used to be my neighbors or people I did business with before I got sick. Better yet..imagine THEIR surprise to see ME. They made sure to try to hide their faces. I didn't bother. I was there because I had a need. They were there because it was FREE FOOD.

Big difference, that. BIG. And it happens everywhere in anytown, USA.

NOW I am done with this thread.

Tell that to my sister. Her craft room was more important to her. We didn't get along growing up..and we didn't get along as we aged. THAT'S why.

Here is a hint for you guys that are so offended by homeless people and think they are pond scum:

The sane homeless...you don't see. They hide. Just like I did. The ones on drugs, are mental or CHOOSE to be homeless don't hide at all. They have their cups for money collecting, sleep on sidewalks, gather in groups and get drunk, and actually don't mind looking homeless. Those that find themselves in that position and "normal" are pretty much screwed.

sorry about that but this is a problem with the latest generation they aren't raised with a sense of family how you should feel responsible to take care of your own blood and I blame it on the welfare state we are creating people feel it isn't their responsibility it is the governments

Dude, Hep B is 200 times more contagious than AIDS. Remember the old STD thing "Oh, I must have caught it off a toilet seat"? A drop of Hep B contaminated blood remains contagious for 24 hours, so if you have an open sore on your ass, that saying could become true.

    https://www.healthline.com/health/hepatitis-b#transmission2
    Is hepatitis B contagious?
Hepatitis B is highly contagious. It spreads through contact with infected blood and certain other bodily fluids. Although the virus can be found in saliva, it’s not spread through sharing utensils or kissing. It also doesn’t spread through sneezing, coughing, or breastfeeding. Symptoms of hepatitis B may not appear for 3 months after exposure and can last for 2–12 weeks. However, you are still contagious, even without symptoms. The virus can live outside the body for up to seven days.

    Possible methods of transmission include:

    • direct contact with infected blood
    • transfer from mother to baby during birth
    • being pricked with a contaminated needle
    • intimate contact with a person with HBV
    • oral, vaginal, and anal sex
    • using a razor or any other personal item with remnants of infected fluid
