Interestingly enough, a prohibited person may not possess or carry firearms no matter how they obtained them. And a prohibited person found in control of a firearm even legitimately using said firearm is going to prison. People can pretend gun control works. Yet when I mention MEXICO, gun control advocates are suddenly silent. I have done research on guns in Mexico, and yes, otherwise law abiding people in Mexico purchase black market guns smuggled into Mexico since that is the the only way regular people can obtain guns for the most part, in order to resist brigands and Cartel members that are sure most people in Mexico are unarmed thanks to STRICT GUN CONTROL.
I think we should have the same regulations on ownership of guns as we do on cars. Both are potentially dangerous articles which also have great usefulness in the right hands. It does make sense to check someone's background before giving him a lethal weapon.
I didn't have to have a background check when I bought a car. I also don't have to do a background check on somebody to sell a car, nor do I have to when I lend a car to anybody.
Not sure how it could be constitutional since it is not inter-state commerce but intra-state commerce government by the State.
you mean this 1) my gun license is good in all fifty states, Canada, etc 2) I can buy guns that are far more powerful than what most police have 3) I can get a license to carry at age 16 4) I can buy a gun in every state of the union 5) There are no background checks when I buy a gun You best think through your argument first
