Yet another is that nature would cull these people.

This is why SJW's can only survive in 1st world nations.

To assume the difference is the presence or lack of weapons, you would be misleading yourself. The Japanese culture is far different from ours.
Consider this statistic: Japan has 7 lawyers per 100,000 population, America has 287, which is more than three times the next most lawyer-happy nation- England, at 84.
We have 41 times the lawyer saturation, and that is a good measure of our inability to get along with one another. Far too many Americans are rude, arrogant, hostile and abusive- and lack both character and self discipline. Those are the factors behind our social problems- childish attitudes and hostility.
The presence or lack of guns does not change that at all

You might note that in Switzerland, about one of every four people owns a gun. The murder rate is .05 per 100,000, very close to that of Japan.

~ Many things are different in Japan. The most important is they do not have the US Constitution.

We probably have more guns stolen in one year here in the U.S., than are in the hands of the entire Japanese population.

In Switzerland you can only buy ammo at authorized gun target ranges and must turn in any unused before leaving the premises.

Where did you hear this? Certainly not on Wikipedia....
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Firearms_regulation_in_Switzerland
    Buying ammunition[edit]

In order to purchase ammunition, the buyer must fulfill the same legal rules that apply when buying guns. The buyer must provide the following information to the seller (art. 15, 16 WG/LArm; art. 24 WV/OArm):[1][4]

    • a passport or other valid official identification (the holder must be over 18 years of age) (art. 10a WG/LArm).
    • a copy of their criminal record not older than 3 months, or a weapons acquisition permit which isn't older than 2 years, if asked by the seller (art. 24 § 3 WV/OArm).
    • Further, they must not be a citizen of the following countries (art. 12 WV/OArm): Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Macedonia, Turkey, Sri Lanka, Algeria and Albania).

    .
The possession of the following ammunition is generally prohibited:

    • Armor-piercing bullets.
    • Ammunition with projectile containing an explosive or incendiary device.
    • Ammunition with one or more projectiles releasing substances which damage the health of people in the long run, particularly those mentioned in annex 2 of the WV/OArm.
    • Ammunition, missiles and missile launchers for military explosive.
    • Ammunition with projectiles for transmitting electric shocks.
    • Ammunition for handguns which may cause deformations.

We don't have to adopt their way of life or move to Japan. We can simply do what we do, but copy nations that are doing in a better way what we're doing or trying to do.

I won't bother going into what Americans have done since day one. We all know that sordid story. The problem is America is STILL doing what it did way back then. We haven't evolved. The same cannot be said of Japan.

It's not much of a secret.

Cultural homogenity- over 98% Japanese, less than 2% "other" making up a small, and declining, population

Secure borders- island nation surrounded by a big moat, with very, very strict and restrictive immigration standards in place

    Ingrained and government-enforced social control-
All that sound good to you? You want all that for America?

The same secret that Finland, Norway and Sweden have. Nearly the entire population is of only one race.

They aren't doing things better. AS the average age increases the crime rate goes down.

LOL! Half of the people on the recent gun rally looked like they were on Jardiance and/or high blood pressure meds.

There are millions and millions of rounds stored in homes in Switzerland. Probably a place where gun fearing lefties may want to avoid.

    Post hoc fallacy.
Please demonstrate the necessary relationship between Japan's gun laws and their rate of gun-related crime.

What you mean is we still have the freedoms provided by the Constitution. Evolution to liberals means subverting the Constitution.

Fatback referred to people that sell guns in gun shows without a background check... that's where the word "dumb" came to be in this thread.

Ah. So when you said this,

you were only talking about people who sell guns without background checks and laws against that specific behavior? How many laws does it take to make selling guns without a background check illegal?
