How much does religion and politics play in who you date or marry?

Agreed. Did you ever learn the language? I take it you kind of adopted a lot of the Japanese traditions and culture. I know I did with the Thais. But then again, I worked a lot with the Thai Army.

 

I am a moderate so I could date a Republican or a Democrat.
I am also agnostic so I could date an atheist or theist.
I am also a filthy mudblood (Harry Potter reference) so I'm open to all races.
Gotta keep your options open.

 

You know I could speak it and even read it pretty good while I was there because I was exposed to it all the time...and I have to go back to Japan this autumn so I am brushing up on it.

I know a great deal about the culture and I know a lot about certain ceremonies.

When I was dating this 4 foot 11 little Japanese Doll...and her skin was like porcelain...and I did NOT pursue her she pursued me....when we first stated going out in public together we would get all sets of LOOKS by Japanese women and men especially the seniors as I am 6 foot 2 inches and 238 lbs of muscle and if you don't know Japanese Men are in a group of 4 others tied for the smallest average penis size on planet Earth!! LOL!!

Anyways.....I learned that Japanese men have the HUGE issue as far as their insecurity as far as their penis size and they absolutely DO NOT want their young women dating anyone who is not Japanese never mind a big well endowed guy like me.

The Japanese are xenophobic and their culture is riddled with a huge number of phallic symbolism so I learned the hard way how uninviting they can be if your dating a young Japanese girl.

Political differences can be a nice talking point, but religion is different. In my misspent youth I had two major relationships with religious girls who were really of very high quality, and we got along fabulously, especially in bed. I could accept -- though not respect -- their religiosity, but they couldn't accept my atheism, and that was that. Very painful break-ups on both sides. I decided I wasn't going to do that again, and avoided religious women.

 

I guess you can't be with someone who does not love you unconditionally.

You see....this is what bothers me.....any woman who has a need for her man to be a specific religion means that they are INCAPABLE OF UNCONDITIONAL LOVE!!!

You see....I am.

When I love some one I love them unconditionally and nothing else matters to me except that person.

So if you get married to a person who tells you..."Boy....I am sure glad your a GOP/WASP Guy because if you were not even though we get along and the sex is great I would have to leave you!!"..........if THAT is what you are marrying....would it not bother you???

It would bother the HELL out of me!!!

I knew some Korean guys who had a saying: the best things in life are Chinese food, Japanese wife and American house. The worst things? American food, Japanese house, Chinese wife!

 

I can tell you this......there is a HUGE difference between the people who live in Western Massachusetts and the people who live in the Boston/Providence zoned area.

People in the Boston/Providence zoned area have a thick accent and they can be jerks.

People in Western Massachusetts which is heavily forested and one of the most beautiful places on Earth have absolutely no accent and we are more the Hunting/Fishing/Harley/Snowmobile/Adventurous types.

There is a HUGE number of top rated colleges and universities all though Massachusetts as Mass. is home to literally HUNDREDS of top rated schools and many are the absolute BEST on the planet such as MIT, Harvard, Amherst, Smith, Mt. Holyoke, Brandeis, B.C.....the list is amazingly long.

Anyways.....Massachusetts is ranked as the #1. Most Educated and Intelligent Population on Earth.

Because of this we do have some people who can be a bit...Snooty.

I myself hold advanced degrees in Particle Physics, Cosmology, Astronomy....I have an MBA, a Bachelors in Finance and an Associates in Music as well as another degree specific to medicine.

Both of my parents probably hold 12 degrees between them.

Anyways in Mass. you have a large group of people who are highly educated in the extreme who can be sometimes rude and snobbish....then you have a relatively high level of education laden working class who get sick of that snobbishness thus the way you were treated.

My wife has came to a place of peace / Shalom by making zero effort to understand anything that I write... by refusing to read any of it.

She is Pentecostal and she does not like my fascination with ideas like reincarnation, but she is very happy...... so Gracias a Dios that some people know how to rise above religious or political differences of opinion.
