“I actually like Hunter Biden,” Carlson continued, “but that’s totally corrupt and you know it. Why is it worse to ask about it than do it?”

Goldstein said: “Because people are dying on the frontlines.”

Laughing, Carlson said: “Why do I care, why do I care what is going on in the conflict between Ukraine and Russia? And I’m serious. Why do I care? Why shouldn’t I root for Russia, which I am.”

Because, Goldstein said, “preserving democracy is important”.

    “I don’t care!” Carlson said.

By the end of his show it seemed he did, as he said: “Before we go, earlier … I noted, I was rooting for Russia in the contest between Russia and Ukraine. Of course I’m joking, I’m only rooting for America.”

For someone who claims they aren't going to tolerate ignorant infantile nonsense, you sure did spend the rest of your post falling for such nonsense.

I'll start with the fake news "bribe." That whole "story" comes from a Congressional report . . . that includes absolutely no sources. None. And have you really thought through just how ridiculously bad the argument is in the first place. You are really going to fall for "Well, there was a guy who used to be mayor of Moscow, and he died, and several years later his widowed wife paid a 3.5 million consulting agreement with a company that has a similar name to a company that Hunter Biden co-founded, and Hunter is Joe Biden's son, therefore this was a bribe to Biden so that Russia could invade Crimea . . . even though the VP has absolutely nothing to do with allowing/not allowing something like that to happen."

Congrats, you've fallen for a conspiracy theory that is dummer than a sack of hammers.

As for Trump, you've got to be kidding me. Trump weakened our NATO alliances. The military aid to Ukraine? It's foolish to credit him for that. First of all, Congress makes that decision, not the President. Not even his veto power mattered here, so it didn't even matter whether or not he signed the bill. Hell, did he even support the bill in the first place?

Plus there's that other aid in illegally withheld. Plus there's the fact that he CONSTANTLY tried to reduce sanctions on Russia. Plus he constantly sucked up to Putin in his presence. Plus there's the fact that he said he trusted Putin more than he trusted US intelligence. Plus the ONLY change his campaign requested of the GOP platform was to go easier on Russia over Ukraine. Plus he publicly repeated Russia's talking point about Crimea wanting to be part of Russia.

The video clip . . . is in the OP. Why are you asking for a video clip that was provided IN THE FIRST POST OF THIS THREAD?

Try clicking on the video link in the OP. Jesus, only 15 seconds in: "Why shouldn't I root for Russia? Which I am." (Emphasis his, not mine)

Suggest you stop licking the propaganda bowl of Carlson's opposition, and actually watch Carlson. His audience is larger than CNN and MSNBC combined, and has been for quite a while.
If you are unable to give fair audience to any view you don't like- your view will have no validity at all, your ability to discern fact from fiction will be null, and propaganda makers will feed you what they wish.

These people don't deal in reality, they deal in mind-manipulation, creating an alternate view of the world in your head- and leaving you just a pawn in their game,

Somehow, it occurs to me that you aren't actually listening to what Tucker is saying. Nor do you seem to understand what he said. I mean essentially, he said that the president of Ukraine wasn't any more democratic that the democratically elected president of Russia, Putin. Do you not agree with that assessment? Do you believe then that folks cannot say these things in public? That government should censor Tucker in his assessment? You seem to be trying to make that case. I understand that in a country like Australia, you don't enjoy protected public speech. But Tucker doesn't live in Australia. You might not like what he says, you might not like that what Tucker is saying is challenging the corrupt narrative of the US President and his administration vis a vis, Biden's support for this Ukrainian president. Why should we listen and believe Biden here. He seems to be the only one getting paid by the Ukrainians and their proxy oil companies after all, or did you forget that?

IOW, he realized he went too far, was too honest, and tried to walk it back.

Like I said........When I read about what Carlson's doing and saying it feels like a parody. Like it's a screenplay about a TV personality who discovered he could achieve long sought after popularity by utilizing unhinged bombast...........but has gone too far.

Are you saying the election was rigged? Like that 5M illegal immigrants voted for Zelensky? Or the election was stolen from Poroshenko? Please clarify.

Oh, I apologize, I messed up the quote, he didn't say "Why shouldn't I root for Putin?", he said "Why shouldn't I root for Russia?" It's at time 0:15 min in the video in the OP.

Did I say that? Can you show me where? Those are your assertions. Unsupported ones at that. Why invent a different conversation than the one we were engaged in. I understand you weren't doing well in that one, but you'll do even worse in this new one.

If he promoted himself as Colbert used to, I'd have no problem with it.

Yelena is actually her name.... Please realize the $3.5 million was a skim off the $200 million she was sinking into Burisma.... the Joe Biden Big Guy crime family lives on... untouched...

Seems Yelena laundered funds into the US in avoidance of sanctions, Devon Archer (the crime family's business pardner) claimed the Burisma firm received $200 million.

Followed immediately by: "Which I am." So they can't use the "it was just a hypothetical question" excuse.

Ah, yeah, Tucker is rooting for Russia, so let's deflect to Hunter. Fox News has trained you well.

Funny how they can't show any kind of evidence that a single penny of this money ended up in Hunter's pocket . . . much less Joe's. They really will fall for anything.

The Ukraine is not a free country. They are the poorest and most corrupt country in Europe. Tucker does not believe they are worth going to war with Russia over. That makes sense to me but Biden is politically desperate.

Ukraine is more free than Russia is, and Tucker went further than just saying they aren't worth going to war over -- he sided with Russia and parroted their propaganda.

It's not deflecting. The senate committee on homeland security says so. The bank account for Hunter's hedge fund Rosemont Seneca got $3.5M from Eleana Baturina on Feb 14th 2014.

You do not care you will defend Democrats no matter what. Tucker Carlson is a private citizen he is not employed by the tax payer and you are obsessed with him.
