    If I have a friend who defends adultery or degrades women by boasting about grabbing their *******, , or scapegoats groups of people with hateful rhetoric , I would not want to be their friend . What you call political views flows onto social views.

    If I could just ask those who make continual references to Nazis, are you referring to card carrying members, or just people that get misty watching The History Channel and wish the Germans had won ww2?

    Or is "Nazi", to you, just a synonym for conservative?

    Maybe I'm unlucky, but I never seem to run into either of the first two types. Bigfoot, either.

    3 Times I have been sat with a small group of people when someone mentioned Trump pr border control via EU Brexit... and people have become totally triggered and snowflakey and almost hysterical - putting their open palm up saying... "no, no, If you mention that again I will leave this table"!!!!! As far as I am concerned they can go to hell. It is they who are the idiots, incapable of any rational thought. I never stoop to console them nor want their company. They are pathetic as far as I am concerned. I will tell you why - and it is simple and right..... in every instance with such people the one fact remains - THEY WANT their views to be tolerated while shutting down opposing views. I, on the other hand, will respect all views and the right for any person to say whatever they wish. I never, ever complain or seek to hinder their right to speak.
    Put simply - THEY want to have their say yet will not accept you have the same right. For me, that is not good enough. I tell them what I think and they can jump in the nearest river as far as I am concerned.

    The salient points for me are - truth, honesty and never be two-faced. I have never known or seen or heard a right of center person say something, about the contentious issues in vogue today, with a devious, semantics approach.
    If I am asked: "why do I want border control for UK" I will say exactly what I mean and I truthfully hold to my belief, in full faith and honesty. I will not say anything just to score a point. I never seek approval for what I say. But when leftie liberals reply: "you must be a racist xenophobe"... for a start there is no way at all nor any inclination in my stance for anyone to deem that my personal principled views upon other people regardless of race is anything linked with hatred. Yet the lefties go straight to that link upon my character. I never assume some nastiness in their character. I argue the points. I debate. I oppose and challenge. It is not a given that "WE ALL" act in the mindset (cognitive dissonance) highly prevalent within the leftie liberal camp.
    If a LL says ... "I love everybody, especially black and brown people and I don't want them stopped from coming into UK" I do not act, as they do, by saying something like.... "You hate whites, you hate your own country"!!! I am not at all racist or a hetr of people based on colour or ethnic mix, not one bit. I assume the same of all others in a debate. o why do the LLs not respect my person in the same way??? They absolutely do not.

    Maybe because you represent civility and tolerance. Progressives abandoned all that in favour of The Cult, and don't like being reminded of what they could (but fail) to be.
