This is another example of why police should not get auto immunity.

This is what happens when you let moronic Democrats run things.

If you don't want stupid stuff like this to keep happening - stop electing Democrats.

What do you mean ‘even Steve…?’ What are you implying. Go ahead, say it.

And why would I defend it? I call ‘em as I see ‘em. You, on the other hand, would never admit to a black guy being wrong about anything. If someone creates a thread about a black guy behaving badly you ignore the black guy behaving badly and say merely creating the thread is racist because it’s made to make blacks look bad, kinda like what you’re doing with cops in this thread of yours.

Did i not just explain to you that police are human and that when they **** up it's of epic proportions. As in a bad day for a cop is killing someone innocent (or locking them up) and a bad day for a pizza cook is refunding a customer's money for a messed up order?

Police are human. Pizza cooks...human. They are not robots. They WILL **** up. If this is found to be malice they will be canned if not punished but not fired. Either way the dude they falsely arrested gets paid large.

If you fired every cop who isn't perfect you would end up with no cops. No cops means we all get to live in a progressive **** hole like that Chaz experiment no go zone.

    No thanks.

The police not even trying to correct its mistake is even worse than getting it wrong in the first place.

I watch this show called 60 days in. People volunteer to go to jail for 60 days with a cover story and they report what they’ve gone through, stuff on contraband, etc.

Anyways…. This similar thing has happened twice on the show. In season one, one of the plants was pulled from his cell and sent to court. Why? Same name as another prisoner at the same jail. No one knew until the lawyer for the real guy said that’s not my client.

In another season, the jail ended up putting a guy with the same name in the same pod as one of the plants. The non-participant ended up receiving medicines that were for the plant, and even the plants own wife put $50 on the wrong guys commissary because of the same name.

In my view, this seems like something that happens regularly when it comes to dealing with two people with the same name. I’m sure the cops and the corrections officers have all heard the “you got the wrong guy” excuse many times and are numb to it. Like the villagers in the boy who cried wolf. This time, there was a wolf.

60 Days In, those people voluntarily go into jail for work purposes. If you think are jailed improperly and it happens regularly, that is a problem, and it is unconstitutional to be imprisoned for no offense.

Sorry - but screwing up is arresting him in the first place. That shouldn’t happen if they bother to look at DOB or a photo, but could happen.
Holding him for several days is way beyond a mere screw up. Frankly I’m shocked the guys is only asking for 500 k.

That was obviously going to take too much time. It's far more cost effective to screw up and put the taxpayers on the hook.

Let that hate out let it flow!!!

The only reason you even posted the thread is because the guy is black.

His skin color had nothing to do with the mistake made by police but in your mind it's the sole reason.

As for you dear sir, I hope you have a wonderful day filled with only great things !

And the only reason you come with the "poor poor victim" response is because he's black as if somehow this is okay.

Again, hoping you get far worse.

I have arrested hundreds of people on warrants, and this would not have been possible using the procedures we used.

I’m shaking my head at the LV Police ...

I guess the bright side is that the guy they arrested just won the lottery.

this is nothing but virtue signaling. This happens to white people all the time, you’re only bringing it up to wave a huge “look how UNRACIST I am”.

You might be shocked to learn this but I remember an event from my life about 20 years ago. ( I'm white by the way ) I was drinking at a bowling alley bar across from the Tampa international airport.

Now you couldn't smoke inside so I went out on the porch that overlooked the parking lot to smoke.

A group of several white people a man and two women if I remember correctly, they walked up the stairs and inside and I remember thinking why they give me a dirty look?

Well anyhow I finished my cigarette and I go back inside and sit at the bar. Here comes the manager of the bowling alley or security or whatever the hell the guy was, says to me that these people said that I stole their wallet.

No I did no such thing but he took me in a back room and actually strip searched me. I was in my early twenties and too young and naive to tell him to go screw his self. But anyhow I never got an apology from the management or my accusers.

Now had I have been a black man you would say that was racist wouldn't you? Tell the truth.

Of course if I was black I could go complain about it all over social media maybe take them to court and people like you would virtue signal and spread it far and wide across the internet.

Instead I just thought to myself what jerks they were and got on with my life.

As for you hoping I get far worse...?

I hope you have a wonderful good day sir. I said good day!!!
