And you left off the last part of the quote and because it puts everything
into perspective. That which you left off is in bold.

I, too. have a dream that some day a black man and a white man will meet
on the street and the black man won't ask the white man for money or call
him a racist because his family comes first.

And tell us this. What's racist about this paragraph you've been ignoring?

I, too, have a dream that they will:
    encourage each other.
    pray for each other.
not judge each other on the color of their skin.
not expect the other to support them
love each other as Christ loved the church.

And where is the racism in this paragraph?

Let's stop judging each other on the color of their skin. As soon as the left
stops their self righteous judgmental actions then racism will die the death
    it deserves.

There is none. You've had to go to a lot of work to make any of this
to be racist. Your posts have been fabricated and disingenuous. If you
have to tell falsehoods to make you point then you have no point to make.

How can you sleep at night.
    Good grief.

    Exactly.

Reread this refuse you wrote and ask yourself how this applies to Black people in general. If you should conclude that this does not apply to merely Black people than why is it that you only mention Black people?

Your original post is proof enough. You list Black people as if they all are poor beggars who dont pray for one another, love one another, etc.

    >>>MOD EDIT Flamebait Removed<<<

The left is the only one who fans the flames of racism? Really? It seems to me if you find nothing wrong with what you wrote, than your likely not going to be able to see racism from the right as racism.

While there's no real anticipation that White people will ever give back anything should they have been found to owe someone something, I think it goes without saying that by this countries own laws, you owe a lot of people things. Because in a very real sense, White culture in this country destroyed their culture and their communities both before and after the Civil War. What progress they have managed to make is a wonder in and of itself, considering their circumstances. Improvements are being made in their community, but people like you focus on the bad parts of the community and insist that it's a symbol of their general culture. Then you preach about honor, integrity, and improvement.

When in modern history has this ever been a stance held by the left? When I hear Black's refered to as animals, uncivilized, savage, or whatever, it is usually from right-wing, conservative types.

Not a bad thing at all. But considering your slant, it's as if you believe their condition is self-inflicted and that the right has only been trying to help them. If this isn't your position, I apologize, and could you elaborate. If it is your position, you're part of the problem.

Reading this post, I do not blame him.

    >>>MOD EDIT Off Topic Removed Removed<<<

That's delusional. It only serves to fit your bias against the left, and your generally uninformed view of Black people in general.

Completely ... but that does not adhere to your OP.

If you really did abhor racism then it should have read something like this

I, too. have a dream that some day all people will meet
on the street and won't ask for money or call
each other names because our family comes first.

I, too, have a dream that they will:
    encourage each other.
    pray for each other.
not judge each other on differences.
not expect the other to support them
love each other as Christ loved the church.

Yes, I, too, have a dream.

By singling out the skin colour in your statement as a difference you are, whether you know it or admit it, underlining what racism is.

With no disrespect to ML King, I find John Lennon's quote fat closer to what we should be - "It doesn't matter how long my hair is or what colour my skin is or whether I'm a woman or a man."

As a foreigner viewing this thread I got to ask, are there really that many beggars of any race on your streets?

Prunepicker regardless of the colour of a man's skin I would be astonished to be asked for money on the street but then I live in the UK where no one ever needs to beg. I am quite proud of that.

Still doesn't change the fact that you by singling out the skin colour in your statement as a difference you are, whether you know it or admit it, underlining what racism is.

A person who truly abhors racism would not include any mention of skin colour.

There are many beggars on the streets of UK cities, perhaps they are not so "in your face" as their American counterparts .. but they are certainly there.

The problem with the OP here is that, despite claiming an abhorrence of racism, the author underlines what racism is by distinguishing between the skin colours of the persons mentioned, and uses the standard of the "black" man being the one doing the begging, thus re-enforcing the stereotype.

Which is what MLK did. What do you not understand about this?

Seriously. You are so Hell bent on creating racism where it doesn't exist
    that you can't think straight.

I fully understand what MLK did in 1963 .. do you?

Please show me where I am "creating racism" when the reality is that you were the one who posted an OP that singled out the skin colour differences and I have simply asked you as someone who "abhors" racism why you felt it necessary to do so.

If you "abhor" racism as you say then there was no requirement to even mention skin colour, I'm sure the posters here would have understood your reference to MLK's speech.

So I say to you ... I, also, have a dream.

I have a dream that one day the nations will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "that all men are created equal."

I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia, the sons of all will be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood.

I have a dream that all little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by their differences but by the content of their character.

    I have a dream today!

Duh, read my posts and stop providing your out of context remarks.

The very fact that I understand his remarks irritates you to the point of
exasperation. You have to prevaricate. Facts aren't prevaricated.
    Misinformation is prevaricated.

The fact that you must create racism in order to attempt to denounce my
anti racism irritates you to the point of exasperation.

The fact that I'm not a racist, no matter how hard you try to create a
contrary illusion, irritates you to the point of exasperation.

Deal with it. I'm not a racist. I abhor racism. You, on the other hand, have
gone out of your way to denounce someone who is opposed to racism.

Why are you denouncing someone who opposes racism?

We all want to hear your explanation. Please try to make it unbiased.

nothing I have stated is out of context, or prove otherwise.

I am exasperated at nothing you have written, and the FACT is that you provided an OP that placed specific targeting on skin colour difference .. do you deny that you wrote the OP that singles out skin colour difference?

I have not created anything of a sort, if you cannot stand by the very words you write then it is you who is being disingenuous and attempting to detract from what they mean.

Please quote ANYWHERE I have called you a racist, or you can retract that lie.

Pure BS, for one I have not called you a racist, for another I have merely pointed out that your OP enforces the sterotype, nothing more.

    Where have I denounced you?

I'm sure the people here are more interested in why someone who abhors racism would single out skin colour difference in their OP and enforce the stereotype of the "black" man being the beggar.

There is nothing biased in any of my responses to you, if you cannot defend your own words perhaps you should have thought a bit longer before posting them.
