I'm Irish. I can live off of Beer and potatoes. I know, silly poll. I just find the title comical. I voted; NO. I actually think our cultural differences is what makes us all so interesting. Its cool learning about other peoples habits and beliefs . Three Irishmen walk out of a bar. No, that's a lie, Irishmen crawl out of bars.
Stereotypes always have some truth behind them. There is a reason that not even the ugliest of Chinese stereotypes cast them as lazy or unintelligent.
I am nearly half Irish..... James Malloy left County Tipperary for Canada in 1791 so technically I can initiate my application for my Irish citizenship based on that fact...... my mom's maiden name was Malloy....... Along with my application for citizenship I wish to submit my idea for a Unified Field Theory of Modern World Problems based on the next step in the return path of the Lia Fail......... Next... it will be moved from Edinburg, Scotland to Tara, Ireland....... Is a Unified Theory of Modern World Problems even possible? P. M. Benjamin Netanyahu, let's get into the production of....
Everyone in here is a racist. racist ► n. A person who believes a particular race is superior to others. adj. Of, relating to, or advocating racism. Anyone who believes Blacks have superior UV protection from their darker skin are racists. Anyone who believes Whites have superior Vitamin D production capabilities are racists. Anyone who believes Blacks are superior runners and jumpers because they have won virtually every world championship event in them for the last 40 years---is also a racist.
Only those who believe blacks are a superior race are racist. Only those who believe whites are a superior race are racist. Maybe you can fill this one in.
No, not as long as you understand the implications of the stereotype being true. Putting things in a proper context is vital, as always.
What they lack in soul, they more than make up for in sheer sex appeal. The most glorious creatures on this green earth.
I voted 'yes' because reality is racist and sexist. There is no way to escape this harsh and cruel fact of nature.
The definition did not say superior in everything, anyone who (rightly) believes that any racially-linked trait or ability is superior is a racist.
Italians like pasta sauce. I hate pasta sauce. I like fish & potatoes. So does this mean I hate Italians? Lol..lol.. G'night y'alls. its bed time. see U marro.
So a blond blued eyed person who's skin color is decribed as white, is racist over a browneyed brunette who's skin color is decribed as white?
Well, let's come up with a scenario in which a true stereotype, not put into context, becomes racist. It happens all the time. American racists like to point at general intelligence tests to "prove" that African-American populations are sufficiently different from white populations to be segregated into separate classes. Some go so far as to say into different states entirely. So, the true stereotype is that African-Americans get lower scores on general intelligence tests. The vital context are the two following points: 1: There are so many cultural/social factors that bear on this issue that the relevant data is practically useless in determining "base" general intelligence between populations. 2: That, even if the racists could prove that the entire disparity is genetic (they can't) none of this would mean anything at all. A 4-point disparity on a general intelligence test between populations is ****ing meaningless.
