You don't really believe this, do you? There's no way Clinton will be prosecuted and I seriously doubt that will cause any noticeable loss of support from the Trump crowd.

You seem to forget that it wasn't only democrats who opposed Trump. Also, most if not all of Trump's more prominent campaign promises cannot be done by executive order.

The subject of the thread is that it's a broken promise, I'm saying it was just a line and no one really cares. The promises people really care about are whether Obamacare gets repealed, immigrants are kicked out, and America is "great" again. No it wasn't! Comey let her off the hook before the investigation was done. This is why not to much longer after letting her off, 650,000 more emails were discovered on Wiener's computer. And with some emails from Hillary. In the amount of time after discovering these new emails, there was not enough time to go through them all, before they turned her loose. It took more than a month for 33,000 emails, not even close to half of the newly discovered ones. Give me a break!

Nobody is above the law, and Hillary broke the law, just with her private server.

We are a nation of law, and there is the sentiment that SOME people are above that law. Trump should appoint a non-partisan special prosecutor to investigate not only Hillary and her foundation, but all those involved in the corruption and collusion uncovered. They should all be charged with whatever appropriate crimes they have committed, and prosecuted.

THEN, Trump should pardon Hillary to prevent her from going to prison. This will ensure that Hillary will never gain access to any position of power, will bring to justice those who committed criminal acts, and offers an olive branch to the opposition to try to bring some unity back to the political landscape.

The items that concern me most are:

1) That our enemies are currently holding onto blackmail items they intended to use against Hillary to influence her.
2) That some people paid a LOT of money to gain influence with her, who are now empty-handed.
3) That actively working to "throw Hillary into a prison cell" will do nothing but to solidify and inflame the disunity, and cause a loss of the House in 2018, and possibly everything in 2020.

Items 1 and 2 above are solved by prosecuting HRC so that she will never hold a position of power again. And item 3 above is at least mitigated by PARDONING her crimes.

 

Sure. We should then do the same thing to Bush/Cheney administration for the horrendous and grotesque war crimes they committed in their little Iraqi sojourn. But no pardon for them. They should be tried domestically and then again at the Hague.

With all the evidence classified documents on her hard drive and obvious pay for play, most of the country does not give a s***.
