See post 23 por favor. The next 4 years will be an economic disaster - a train wreck. Things will be so bad .. that Red and Blue will have to work together.

I wonder if the government will not have imploded by the time 4 years go by?

Screamed the same when this event first started, Trump didn't want the ship to return(and returned it did.). And at the first place, this idea of masks simply hasn't worked or panned out. Frankly, it's way too late for a mitigation strategy.

Most likely he will be seldom seen or heard from after the swearing in. Of course as soon as he begins meeting with foreign leaders . . . well . . . the cat will be out of the propaganda bag and finally the average Dem Party voter will begin to realize just how much they were played for fools by the DNC and the nation's media outlets, which spun and covered for candidate Biden during the election cycle and told people that what they were SEEING Biden doing and HEARING Biden say was not what he was really doing or saying.

No other president thought the presidency was a reality TV show, hourly appearances are not necessary .
Two years, absolutely, followed by 10 years of someone you will probably wish was Biden.

Alas, you are correct across the board. It's going to be grim times ahead for not only the United States but for the Westernized world in general. Meanwhile our political Left are going to continue pushing their pet environmental and Social Engineering Politically Correct projects forward while ignoring the needs of the economy because . . . that's what they have always done.

    After this prediction:
I really don’t want to justify your future predictions as anything rather than hopeful rhetoric. Or maybe you do believe it has been spectacular, who knows...

The 2022 Senate race probably isn’t going to bring about what you are talking about however (look at some of the matchups)

Original projected fatalities were 2 million. We are nowhere near that. Nor are we willing to fall for partisan bickering when so many so-called "experts" weighed in and then reversed themselves once proved wrong.
Trump is only a man. A symbol, surely, but also someone who has managed to air out a few dark D.C. corners and send the media to their knees. He deserves a second term. Biden won't finish even one.

So you are mad at the medical profession for not being clairvoyant as to the death tolls of a previously unknown virus.
    Well, bless your heart.

Ask yourself this. Search your memory for all those predictions 2020 would be a blow-out for the Dems. Do you agree that there was a majority of such posts given here? I contend that there were. Biden would destroy Trump and down-ticket the entire nation would march --- solidarity! --- to overwhelming victory.

So what's happened thus far? Ain't been nearly that massive blue surge that the LW predicted. Oops. It's only a slight exaggeration to say the pendulum barely moved.

Looking at past metrics and the fact that Republicans feel the election was “stolen” I am unfortunately going with partisan gridlock.
Republicans showed how they felt about the suffering of the American populace when they picked a partisan judge to ram through because they were about to lose the election vs actual programs that would significantly help.

Sorry, D.L., but I stated that medical experts weighed in, dickered, reversed themselves...and caused delays. The 2 million projection was nevertheless wildly overstated. "Experts" did go back and forth and initial advice went around and around until the public was dazed by regulation, with all sides unwilling to find comity. I contend Trump is correct in challenging Fauci et al., because of how bad they DID allow it to get.

10 years of Kamala the Hun, huh? Given that 6 months is geologic time in American politics I'll take such futuristic predictions with a big block of salt.

That same judge the Dems okayed for her lower-court appointments? Nobody argued then, did they?

I have seen the same from both sides, if you go to the search bar and type in landslide and review the predictions that one candidate would win in one, it is almost completely right wing posters.

I have been saying the presidency would be close, Democrats would keep the house and Republicans might lose the Senate but that it was unlikely.
I know of several other left wing posters that agreed.

But this forum is skewed to the right in number of posters and heavily skewed in number of posts.

I do disagree that there wasn’t a massive surge on the presidency, it is virtually unheard of to unseat an incumbent and we had the largest turnout in over 100 years. You can assert that it is make news, deep state, fraud, or whatever buzzword but it comes down to most Americans simply hating trump and everything he stands for.

As you should, it is less of a prediction and more of a concern. With the newfound abuses trump has normalized in self promotion and using taxpayer dollars and assets to supplement his campaign the advantage of incumbency has become much more powerful, and Biden has already said one term and he is done. If he steps down in his second year Harris van run for two additional full terms.

I hope four years of trump was worth it

Here's one. Whatever decorations are done to the Oval Office (as is the right of each President)...the final plan gets Harris's approval. When she does take over, it's already done to suit her.

Is their a difference between a circuit judge and a SCOTUS judge?
And yes, people argued — they always argue.

Here's the thing. Quarantines are only effective by separating the infected from the rest of the population. Absent that, quarantines aren't effective. More, isolating those infected from the rest of the uninfected didn't seem to be much of a priority, hence why the disease was allowed to leave China in the first place. Why do you suppose that is? I did, and do recall, my posts begging the previous administration from allowing ebola patients into this country. I beg folks all the time not to indulge themselves and bring non native species into the country for the same reason. There aren't ecosystem counters to them. Look at all the pythons now living happily in FL. And had the US simply not allowed these non native species into the country in the first place, the Everglades wouldn't now be infested with them, and the native species wouldn't be under such pressure there.

Back to the WuFlu for a minute though. Why was the virus allowed to spread outside of China? More, when it became clear that the virus was loose, why shouldn't the US have isolated itself from it? As with your example of ebola, absence is the best defense. The actual science says, don't let it in in the first place. Same reason we have outbreaks of F'in small pox in the country now. Because some folks thought it was an acceptable "risk" to allow it. And frankly those are the conditions that led to having wide spread infections in this country. It created a lot of fear, didn't it. And are you happy that that fear may have put Biden in the whitehouse? And when he demands that the country shut down again, well, except for the "essential" folks.. then what? Will you get vaccinated when Kamala toe doesn't because she won't "trust" the scientists?

How about this. For the sake of clarity, how about the next time China hatches a virus, we isolate them. As a world community, isn't their track record now sufficiently untrustworthy enough to just not allow any outflow from china when the next of their deadly little science projects get out?

But if her religion matters now, why was it ignored back then? Why the left's sudden anti-Catholic bigotry?

Leftists, ask yourself what you would do as a senior citizen and the government ordered doctors to deny future services to anyone refusing to take the experimental KungFlu vaccine. The huge hospital groups would enforce it in an instant or be denied all sorts of federal support themselves.

Tell ya what, I DON'T worship any damned human being, I reserve that for a Higher Power. When I go to the polls I grasp my nostrils and vote for what I deem the lesser of two distinct evils at the time and no Democrat has stepped over that decidedly low bar yet.
