The Founders designed it to be gridlock, to prevent heat-of-the-moment legislation from being rammed through. I contend, disregard any allegations of what Republicans feel about this election, and return to the basics here.

Gridlock in a Democrat-run House is good. A Republican Senate, President, and conservative-majority Supreme Court? Too bad Ginsburg croaked and left the libs without a friendly ear on appeals!

You might want a second cup of coffee or tea before attempting relevancy on such short notice.

This is the thing - We need proper Enviro Policy - We need Social Engineering, in the entire Western World - Blue is against both

    A) Enviro - If you are demonizing Michael Moore as a flaming Republican - Perhaps you might be a "Blue-neck"

The Truth - is that Pipelines are by far the most prudent environmental course of action. Pipelines do not add to - and in fact reduce the CO2 equation. So there is no CO2 argument. Blue is then reduced to the fallacious - We won't be using oil in 2030 so its a waste of money.

And this is absurd - who are they to decide on the economic decisions of others.

So no CO2 argument. The question is then - where do we source the 20 million barrels a day we will use next year - and the year after that.

    Is it A) Pipeline domestic/Canada - or B) Tanker - Nigeria

It is no contest ... from an overall Enviro perspective - Ocean Pollution is the #1 enviro issue - Pipeline over land obviously way better than Tanker over ocean "Save the Whales" - remember ?

Sourcing from North America - where we have solid enviro regulations is way better than Nigeria .. who is a huge Ocean Polluter - so we increase Ocean Pollution big time .. in two ways Transport - and Source Pollution. .

#2 Enviro issue is Industrialization - When you take someone eating a bowl of rice a day - and turn them first world - their consumption increases from (1) to (36) ... as do the byproducts of that consumption and associated CO2 and Ocean Pollution.

Look how much CO2 China used to emit prior to industrialization - Look at them now. I realize this is politically incorrect to say - "We should not encourage them to have what we have" .. but this is the Environmental Reality.

Blue is right off the farm - and has no clue what they are doing Evironmentaly from a policy pespective - .. one hopes that reality sets in while in office - but don't hold breath.

"Social Engineering" - dirty word "Eugenics" We can't bring people in to this nation who share our culture and general perspective because that would be favoritism. Better we bring in those poor third world folk - and increase their consumption by 36 .. preferably Islamist Muslim because one does not want to be accused of favoritism..

And we are not talking mexican workers here - whos carbon equation is already 32.

In general we should not be increasing population which gets us to Enviro issue #3 - all of which were discussed in Moore's latest flick - but I have been harping on these for 2 decades 1) Ocean Pollution 2) Industrialization 3) Population Growth .. 4) CO2

Obviously 2/3 effect both. Population growth is a huge one. We went from 1.4 Billion industrialized to maybe 2 Billion over the last decade or so .. perhaps by 2030 we will have doubled the industrialized portion to 2.8 ... lets hope not..

But if we do - and look at the huge carbon and pollution increase due to this doubling of industrialized folk "China" we will then have how many left to go ? 10 or so years ago the world population was around 7 Billion - .. by 2030 it will be 8.5 Billion.

So although we industrialized 1.4 Billion .. we did not put a dent in the number not industrialized because world population grew by 1.5 Billion.

Its not the tide rising over your feet that you need to worry about the most - it is that there are few fish in the Ocean because much of it is "dead zone" - and what non rotten spots are left are polluted with Heavy Metals and Persistent Organic Pollutants.

Google "Dead Zones" with Sargassum Epidemic .. but alas - no one seems to care - I am in Politically incorrect land - a flaming heretic for speaking the Truth.

Harris is so incompetent, her taking the Presidency would damage women in politics for a generation.

Covid is not Ebola - and it has mutated into a form more contageous but less pathogenic .. with a death rate comparable to that of the flue.

That is what the science is telling us. What the science is also tells us is that keeping society locked down is increasing the number of deaths due to Socio-Economic issues. This death rate is at - or exceeding the death rate due to Covid - above that of a normal flue season.

Remember this when you are reading articles 6 months from now citing what I just told you.

and nothing is going to be funnier than watching the Dem Party's dementia patient president TRY and FAIL to function as president.[/QUOTE]

If you really think about it, Joe's job, for the most part, is going to be pretty easy. Put the right people (not the right butt kissers) in the right offices, tell them to make things just like they were four years ago and -WHAM- job done. Joe's dementia won't have a thing to do with it.

Kentuckians want help just as much as New Yorkers. I would like to think Biden and McConnell can put Trump and Obama behind them, and return to the working relationship they enjoyed prior. We'll have see how the Republican base reacts. I had a hard time typing "Republican"; I'm not sure what the party will look like 6 months from now. I just don't see a Tea Party type movement returning, and Mitch would be foolish trying to make a 78 year old man "a one term president." I think Joe will work with both McConnell and Schumer in the Senate, and relay that to Pelosi.

I'm hoping the nation is ready for some sanity. It's a coin flip, though, IMO.

Her religion is irrelevant, her belief that it should be imposed on the people is the issue. Her addition stacked the Supreme Court, it didn’t do that on the lower court.

The lesser evil is a man that is the literal embodiment of the seven deadly sins, you are joking, right?

Two questions, would this higher power support protecting our environment and it’s planet at any cost or destroying it?
Would this higher power support providing healthcare and the best lives possible to it’s creations or would it advocate only the rich get this?
I could go on... but I won’t bother.

I see Pelosi being replaced as speaker imo.
She has become too corporate for most on the left.

So gridlock with Democrats is good but ramming through partisan judges for Republicans is “what was intended”... ok...

Depends what you mean by the left. I see the party having a moderate wing and a progressive wing.

Myself, I think Pelosi has earned her speakership beyond a doubt. I don't know how many votes she has in the House, but I think stability will be the goal for the moment.

Time for Pelosi to go - not that I mind her so much - but need something different. - Blue needs to get its act together - and quick - but this will not happen this go around .. will be busy putting out fires the whole time.- dealing with the covid economic aftermath.- and serious environmental issues they have no clue how to deal with..

Joe is a company man - can't see him challenging the status quo - and by this I mean blue status quo. .. nor the status quo in general - but we shall see. if Trump will go gently into that good night :) and go back to school ! :cheerleader::cheerleader::rock_slayer::rock_slayer::oldman::oldman:

Agreed. That's where I was going with "stability." Maybe in '22.
